Had a house fire and needed a complete rebuild. They came in with the lowest bid and 3 years after the house was "complete" I still find things that they skimped out on. They didn't return any calls at the end either. To this day I haven't seen or heard anything from them. And the new contractors that I had to bring in to either fix or redo shoddy work all are amazed at the shortcuts taken. Do not use!

I hired Gold Shield Contracting to do a house renovation. They told me it would be done in 8 weeks and they had everything completed a week earlier! I love everything they did. They always clean up after themselves and have incredible attention to detail. Trustworthy and reliable, I can't recommend them highly enough!

Major residential home renovation - terrible contractor, subpar work on many aspects, tried to constantly cut corners to save money and eventually walked off my job with the money without completing it and left me hanging. He also failed to pay his sub contractors who in turn threatened to lean my property!!! Stay away!!
Update: The issues between the parties have been satisfactorily resolved.

Permits
- Building permit records show that Gold Shield Contracting I has worked on 14 permitted projects.
I hired them to do a complete bathroom renovation( remove old bathroom to the studs and install everything new), I warned the owner Gary that the walls were off and to be sure that everything was straight and level and he assured me it would be. When the bathroom was completed I could see wide gaps where the wall and tile met and the bath tub is off level by a 3/4 inch showing a larger gap on the right side of the sliding shower door compared to the left. This is basic stuff and they did not get it right. I would not recommend them to anybody.
