    Working with Paul and his crew was an amazing experience. These guys really know what they are doing when it comes to initial concept-to-final product. Very easy to work with, spread-out payment schedule, and truly honest and good people all around. We had a new addition to our existing home; a couple of rooms, bathroom and walk-in closet. The talent at Golden Gate Enterprises is amazing. If you are looking for a true and honest contractor, please call Paul G. at Golden Gate Enterprises. It was a wonderful experience.

    Whole house remodel

    My wife and I hired Paul of Golden Gate to remodel our newly purchased house. I had spoken with a few other contracts and Paul was head and shoulders above them in his attention to detail and knowledge about construction techniques, methods, etc. I'm a picky engineer who did all his own plans and permits so having someone who knew more about this stuff than I was very comforting. Paul listens very carefully and addresses your whole question when you talk. It was very reassuring. He is also an expert in waterproofing which was critical for us since we had a lot of leaks, dry rot, and damp wood termites

    The foreman for our project was Steve and he did a great job throughout the whole project keeping me up to date, giving us our options and making our designs work. The attention to detail trait was also carried by Steve and I never had to debate methods or quality with him. His quality bar is very high and it was something I never had to worry about. I have friends who have other contractors and they have to constantly chase them to make sure everything is done correctly. God help you if you don't know what "correctly" is if you hire one of these folks. With Steve and Paul, you know it will be done correctly every time.

    Our project expanded dramatically from a simple "kitchen and bathrooms" job to a whole house remodel including electrical, lights, new doors, windows, paint, trim, floors, etc. They did a great job with all of it and the finished quality is impeccable. People who've seen it are amazed by the whole project. I've already handed Paul's contact info to 3-4 friends.

    The other thing I liked was that when they found things that were wrong, they always told me about it and gave me options on how to deal with it. A lot of this was not glamorous or high-profit margin work, but it makes the house much more stable and reliable in the long term. I know that a less caring contractor would have just covered it back up and left the existing damage since it extended the timeframe of the project.

    I rarely ever hire anyone to do things for me so this whole project has been a big step. Finding Golden Gate was very fortunate because they maintained my trust the whole time and the finished product speaks for itself. They care about their work and it's not easy to find that. They are not the cheapest, but this is a place where you get what you pay for. They were also far from the most expensive and I was quite happy with the overall project.

    Remodeling is always a tough process and there will be lots of challenges even in the easiest projects. Know what you want, but be flexible and understanding of the challenges. I highly recommend Golden Gate and will be calling them again in a year or two to rebuild my deck.
