I hired Bob Woods 20 years ago. It was my wife and I first Home, we were very excited. We met Bob at Church, seemed like a very nice man. Very kind, very well spoken. So I ask him to give me a price on the Home. Bob faxed over the priced. I look it over, discuss it with my wife, and I call him and yes. I did not even ask for a lower price. I said to Bob, I will out in the foundation, I will take care of the plumbing in the basement, and hire a electrician to install the service. We will buy the home through you. To install the home on the foundation and complete the assembly of the modular home, we agree, signed a contract. Well the foundation was in, and my wife and I waited for months for the house to be delivered. I called Bod, many times to ask what was going on, Bob told me it was none of my business, this is where things got really Bad, my wife and I sold our condo, so we would be able to purchase this home off of Bod, we had no home at this point and were living with my wife parents, terrible. I call Bob, many times, it was scary, finally the home did arrive and was damaged. The bank was there also to pay Bob in full. The bank inspector had 2 checks, one for the modular home company Ritz craft and a full payment check of profit to assemble the home to Bob Woods. But there was no assembly crew, no crane showing up with the Home delivery. So I told the bank inspector, once you give Bob Woods full payment ,both checks today, what will give Bob the incentive of coming back and assembly the Home, I said he will be paid in Full. The bank inspector agreed with me and gave me the profit check and Gave Woods the check for the home. Remember this is my money I borrowed from the bank. Money I have to pay back. Bod did not like this. He need that money so bad to pay his dept, but he did not get it that day, and did not know I told the bank inspector this. Well the house sat out there for months, on trailers, Bob called me several times, to talk to the bank inspector to release the funds to Bob. Bob said to me, tell the bank that the house was finished, so Bob would get paid, which the house was still sitting on trailers. It was awful, the bank inspector would call me, ask ,if the house was complete, of course I honestly said it wasn't and still on the trailers. Finally one day a assembly crew came, to put the house on the trailers. But was not Finished. I thought Bod would come back to finish, so I gave hime the check. I ended up hiring a siding guy and a finish guy, to complete the home. A horrible experience. I been in business for years, and never someone ever doing something like this. I work with people who never steer into a church once and these people never screw me. True story, if it was not true, I would have not wrote this comment. It was horrible. All my other subs, where great to work with. I got stuck with a unfinished modular home unfinished. Just left there, siding not finished, none of the doors were installed, no lights were installed, married wall was never sheetrock and finished, carpets were not finished. Bod told me it was not his responsibility. Imagine that. I could not believe it. I was very young at the time. I would have handle things differently today. But you do not know what you do not know.
