  No. would not recommend this builder. After 4 years in our new home we are still finding frightening and costly installation errors and incompetency. Initially the dryer was not vented out side, but left to hang in the crawl space. Then the fan was not vented outside as per product instructions. Portion of the siding was not secured to the frame and buckled out, window in Livingroom leaked because it was not completely cocked. These all caused concern and frustration but were repaired by the builder or other trades we brought in. NOW I am faced with the high cost of replacing my Bosch Dishwasher because it was wired incorrectly. (photos and proof documented) The main electrical board was fried when the current finally arced and destroyed the electronics. Frightening that the installer could not follow very clear instructions and color coding for installation. Buyer beware,

  My husband and I are the second owners of a Goodwin Southern Property home in the Southside Jefferson Heights neighborhood in Chattanooga. The home was built in 2011—looks beautiful—but our experience is similar to the other reviewer. Since move-in, we've had issues with our appliances, noticed that fixtures were installed improperly (the faucet head jiggles)...but these were minor annoyances...until the heavy rain came and there were some serious leakage issues where it appears the frame of the windows and doors have cracked. We have water pouring in, in different rooms damaging the wood floors and interior walls.

  It's definitely clear there were shortcuts taken...I'd be weary of purchasing a home from these guys or hiring them to do any sort of construction job.

  Poor Quality and Lack of attention to detail

  I'm the second owner of a Goodwin Southern Property home that was built in the Dallas Heights area of North Chattanooga.
  The home has a good style and appearance, but the workmanship is far from good. They used all of the cheapest material available and since owning my home (less than 4yrs old) every mechanical item and appliance has had to be repaired or replaced. Pumps, appliances, garage doors, HVAC etc. They installed the bare minimum electrical outlets, for example my living room has 3 electrical outlets in a 14x20 room. They installed a cheap set of Propane fireplace logs and didn't even hook them to a tank... but my neighborhood has natural gas available. The builder was too cheap to install the gas line. All of my deck spindles are crooked, its like they used a defective level to install. I had to replace the basement staircase, it was so poorly built that there was no way to fix what they installed. The tile around my fireplace fell off. The gutters all leak because they seamed the straight runs instead of using a quality seamless gutter. Downspouts came loose because they didn't install the downspout inserts. So many things, I can't list them all. My neighbors have all had the same issues with the same builder.

  If you are looking at one of their homes, please have a reputable home inspector look it over.
