    Recommendation and review of G. O. R. Construction

    During the summer of 2017 I began looking for an above average contractor who was skilled, reliable, honest, trustworthy and reasonable. Using several venues I received estimates for the following jobs (what began as the first 5 items expanded into the additional 7 as the quality and price of their work was excellent):

    Remove all dry rot wall siding (extensive), window trims, roof edge, trim and replace with new
    Replace all insulation and vapor barrier where siding replacement occurs
    Exterior painting of whole house to include power wash; primer; caulk; exterior paint (3 colors)
    Remodel exterior porch entrance with flagstone floor and step
    Move water filters and water softener from outside to inside the garage
    Install new exterior light fixtures
    Build and install 2 new gates.
    Build new stairway on hillside of house
    Replacement—build and install new stairs down to the water from the backyard
    Replacement--install and paint handrail for deck
    Replace dry rot portions of deck
    Landscaping—Total redesign of front, sides and backyard. Build walkways with flagstone; remove lawn, plant trees/shrubs, install drip system, rock, plant plants on the waterside of the house from the deck to the rocks.

    In October I made my final decision selecting G. O. R. Construction – Gerardo Ramirez and his team of skilled workers. They have completed all of the above work in a timely, professional, friendly manner. Not only do they do exemplary work but they are helpful, on time, communicate well, and clean up daily.

    One reason I selected G.O.R. Construction was their detailed estimates and the communication skills of the contractor, Gerardo Ramirez. So many contractors give one flat fee for their estimates without a breakdown, i.e., scope of work, labor, materials, etc.

    After doing my research to include the State Contractor’s License Board, various websites, etc. G.O.R. Construction was my final choice and I could not be happier. Kudos to Mr. Ramirez and his team of hard workers! I would recommend him to anyone.

    Deck Repair

    I hired GOR construction to repair a landing above my garage that was leaking water. The entire deck had to be rebuilt and waterproofed. Not everyone would know how to do this type of exterior waterproofing. GOR knew exactly what to do and were fantanstic! They were attentive to our desires on how to do the job, on-time each morning, and left the place spotless at the end of each workday. The workmanship was excellent. I found Gerardo very easy to work with. I would hire them again in a second.

    GOR Construction just finished a project at my house to rebuild and waterproof an upstairs deck. They did a fantastic job. This was a complicated task but they understood exactly how to do the waterproofing. They arrived each day on time, were attentive to my questions, highly focused on quality, left the house spotless each day, and finished the project on time. I could not be happier with their work. I highly recommend them.

    I am a business man always on the go with my projects, I was looking for a contractor to remodel my bathrooms and kitchen and other small projects, so a friend told me about G.O.R construction so a gave them a call and set an appointment for the following week, I met Gerardo the owner very polite and right to the point, I told him what I need it done and the budget for this project, so this guy drew my idea on paper his not an architect but I was happy with what I saw just what was looking for so I ask for some references I call this people, and that was it I hire him to do my project, he got everything for me because I did not have time to go buy staff, I travel a lot so GOR construction took care of everything I was so happy with the results of this projects it was more than I expected very satisfied very happy ready for my new life, getting married and I couple of month so is going to be a big surprise for my new wife, I from Danville, CA Black Hawk community and I recommend GOR Construction the best, very happy customer good luck my friend thanks.

    I met this contractor thru a friend, he remodeled my friend's kitchen he did a good work, very clean, responsable, honest, quality work as he promes and everything was done as schedule, He flip a house that a bought and boy was I so happy to get what I was expecting from this project.
