Gordon has completed 2 painting jobs for me: 1st, he was a subcontractor for a contractor that did a small remodel of a guest room which had both interior and exterior painting; and, 2nd, I then hired him independently some months later to do my entire home. WOW! Unbelievable both times: he's an expert consultant on color and what it will look like when its on a larger surface, further, he knows what it will look like a year later. His attention to detail is superb: he's perfectionistic about making sure his crew does "perfect preparation" before any paint goes on. His estimates for work were accurate, and when there are unseen problems (perhaps wood rot or additional caulking) he saw it coming and there were no "add-ons" or extra charges. When you ask questions you get 30+ years of experience, and if your not seeing something clearly, there might even be a little wisdom that saves you some time and money down the road. Two jobs, $15K worth or work, every member of his crew was totally focused and meticulous in both work and cleanup. No Negatives, no personality collisions. My neighbor saw his work and got a bid, Gordon was 15% higher than another bid "that seemed like he knew what he was doing". The neighbor went with the lower bid. There were endless problems and "dust-ups". The neigbor lamenting everyday about having made the Wrong choice. Mostly, from NO attention to detail...
