In August I requested an air conditioning inspection from a local, well-known air conditioning repair company because I thought I was hearing some unusual noise coming from the unit each time it came on. The repairman made his inspection and didn't hear any unusual noises BUT found that I needed up to $3,000.00 repairs to be done. I'm a 74 yr old widow on a fixed income so that repair was not doable at that time. The unit was working just fine. In September, I realized that the unit was coming on every 10 minutes or so, I know that we're having an unusual hot summer but every 10 min was just too often, especially since I have double paned windows. And I didn't want the unit blowing cold air all winter long either. I called that company twice and asked for a manager to call me back. When he finally called me back, I told him about the unit coming on so often. He was very rude and certainly not accommodating. I would have paid them the inspection fee again even though I didn't think they were entitled to it; but I didn't have to worry about that because the manager told me that had I let them make all of the repairs they mentioned they would have come out but not if I don't.
So I didn't think it would be wise to just let the unit keep coming on every few minutes all day and all night and all winter long. I spoke with my son and he and I came to the conclusion to get a 2nd opinion. My son knew of Gott Refrigeration and we set up an appointment with Ronnie. Ronnie came to my house. I told him the problem; he went to the thermostat and he checked it for a while and did some resetting and it seemed to work just fine after that. He also did an inspection of the unit on the house which took a while (saying he was thorough) and he came to the conclusion that the unit was working fine. And the unit has been working just fine since. Unbelievable what a difference in "service". Ronnie was personable, professional and thorough, a nice combination in this day and time. I would highly recommend this company. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to express my gratitude. Thank you Ronnie.
