Looks for another builder. These guys will lie straight to your face and tell you what you want to hear to get to closing and once you close it takes an act of congress to get any punch list or warranty items taken care of. They want to own off all the responsibility of managing the subs for after closing repairs to the homeowner. They’ve lost or fired every decent construction manager they had and believe me I’ve worked with several over the first year we were in our home. We have had severe A/C issues with our home since we moved in 3 years ago. The original A/C contractor went out of business within our first year. Gracepoint sent their “new” A/C contractor who was an even bigger joke. They sent guys to my house who didn’t even work for them, subs to a sub. They sent guys to my house to work on the A/C who were clearly drunk and reeked of alcohol and cigarettes from a long night at the bar before they showed up at our house first thing on a Saturday morning. The owner of this new A/C contractor cane to my house multiple times and nobody could figure out the issues. After something like probably 50-60+ service trips by A/C companies over 3 years we still have an A/C system that was improperly designed and still cannot keep our house cool. I had an A/C company of my choosing come in and after reviewing the manual j from the previous company and taking airflow measurements from each vent they determined the issue within the first hour in one trip. I have a $4200 quote from my A/C company to make the needed repairs but Gracepoint is no longer responding to my warranty requests for an issue that’s been happening since the second week after we moved in.
