DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! I had a warranty replacement approved for my disposal but the Grade A Plumbing tech, and the company owner, would not do the work unless I agreed to pay them $595 to replace a simple S-Trap. Basically this is EXTORTION so I had to kick them off my property.
He said it was a two hour job! Are you kidding me!? Look at the picture. This means Grade A Plumbing hires INCOMPETENT plumbers, or they are incredibly dishonest. Considering the plumber got permission from the owner to present this price to me...I assume both.
I bought the necessary Copper DWV Cup x Slip-Joint Trap Adapter Fitting for $18 and the piping for about $10. I expect the job will take me (not a plumber) about 20 minutes. TWO HOURS...$595...what a joke!
I wouldn't believe the positive reviews and I certainly wouldn't let them in my home every again.

I was assigned Grade A Plumbing for an issue I have in my home. I never heard from them and after two left messages I finally received a call back. The reception was rude, short and totally unprofessional. I decided to go to BBB to see any reviews. I went on Grade A Plumbing website and saw all the bad reviews. I immediately contacted American Home Shields to cancel this service request with Grade A and to assigned me another company. I sincerely thank each person who took the time to document the problems they had with this company and so glad that I dodge the bullet. Remember, they work for us, we don't work from them. I canceled my appointment with this unprofessional business and will make sure that all my friends who have accounts with AHS are steered away from this plumber.

Grade A Plumbing is not reliable if they need to return to fix an issue. The first appointment I made on April 28, 2020, Ken came out and was great. He came out and repaired the one leak under my kitchen sink and said that the second leak and faucet issue will be fixed when they replace the faucet. I asked if they could let me see the one that they would be ordering so that I didn't have them show up and say after the fact that I did not like it. The one that was shown to me was not the right faucet type. I called and left more messages than one should ever have to for a contractor to come out to finish the repair. I called my home warranty, AHS (they are equally terrible), who also reached out to Grade A Plumbing who said they were going to reach out to me, that never happened. Then in the beginning of May, I finally spoke to someone, Crystal, from Grade A Plumbing but she was absolutely horrible and rude. She said that the notes said that they were waiting to hear from me to order the faucet when I went to explain to her that is not correct and no one has returned my call and the faucet that they showed me wasn't the right one, she started yelling at me, telling me that she just returned from being out of work, something about her boss, and a pregnancy. How is any of that my problem?! On top of which it is absolutely unprofessional. I ended the call because it was completely uncalled for! I also couldn't help but think given what is going on around the world right now, you should be happy and grateful that you were asked to return to work, myself and million of Americans have not been that lucky but you're right you returning back to work and issues with your boss is definitely more important than my leak when you are a plumbing company. No one ever reached out to schedule the appointment. It is May 19, 2020 and I still have the leak and issue with my faucet. Thankfully, I have a new contractor coming out so I can be done with Grade A Plumbing. But beware....do not use this company!

This company was horrible. They were referred to me from American Homeshield. I had an issue with my hot water heater. The gas valve needed to be replaced. They tried to charge me an extra 500 dollars to adjust the water pressure within my home. I got a second opinion. Turns out the water pressure has nothing to due with a gas valve installation. It was unneccesary; Also, they gave a a quote for a new water heater that was 500 dollars more than other plumbers who gave me quotes. These people are not dependable, not honest and charge excessive amounts of money for things that are not necessary. Stay away from Grade A Plumbing. Its been almost 3 weeks and I just got my hot water heater resolved. Had to use another company and pay out of pocket.

My original problem didn't start with Grade A but with my home warranty company. Which they (warranty company) made right with us.
This morning my husband received a bill. I called Grade A Plumbing explaining I was waiting for a call back from the home warranty company and it will be paid. The girl who answered transferred me to Adam (the owner of the company another employee told me he was the owner). I explained to him the same. Also told him how the 2 men left and the toilet wouldn't flush. He said once the bill was paid he will have them come back to fix it at no cost. Then proceeded to say if the bill wasn't paid by the end of the day he would add $100 fee on top of the $280 (WHAT? I just told you the warranty company said it was covered). Then he hung up on me.
Fast forward to 445pm. I called back and said Adam said once the bill was paid for he would send out the guys to fix the job correctly. The lady proceeded to tell me it will cost $60. I explained he said it was covered if the bill was paid. She then told me we refused to pay (that never happened). We go back and forth some more and hang up. She then calls my husband and says your wife was upset when we hung up and I wanted to clear things up between us. She then tells my husband we aren't they costumer and thats why we have to pay the $60 (we were the customer when they wanted the ($280). So my home warranty paid them the $280 and they didn't even fix the issue. Never again will use this company.
BTW they have enployees writing reviews for them. I say it on another like page of theirs. I forgot to mentioned when I said something about reviews on how companies charger people with home warranty's more money then if the person would have called them directly Adam said well our google review give us a 4.7 (which it was only a 4.6). Little does he know that I know companies pay people off to take down their negative reviews and pay people to write reviews. -

Terrible - Please Stay Away!!! If you want inadequate, rude, plumbers that will harass you in your house, grade A Plumbing is perfect! If you want actual plumbing service, please look somewhere else. They are contracted with Home Warranty Company and when they come out they LIE to the home warranty about repairs that need to be made. A technician showed up and was yelling and cursing at me in in my house, then left without any repairs done! Not only did I not get any apologies from the Grade A Plumbing, but they had the audacity to charge the service fee through the home warranty company.
Response from Grade A Plumbing November 1, 2018Grade A charge you absolutely nothing. Also its completely and utterly untrue that our tech was cursing at this customer in his home. Your upset that your home warranty would not cover the cost of your repair, you should take up that with the company. I understand it frustrating when someone else wont pay for your repairs when your expecting them to, but the contracts do not cover everything, that why we have to call into them for approval. -

Grade A plumbing is the worst plumber ever! I have a home warranty contract which sub-contracts with GradeA. I have a blockage in my toilet drain which required the toilet being pulled to unclog the drain. My warranty covers this procedure. GradeA sent a plumber named John who has a terrible attitude towards customers. John is unfriendly, bossy and miserable. My home warranty company told GradeA what needed to be done. John refused to pull the toilet and then he left. The problem was not solved.
I would not recommend GradeA Plumbing as the owner, Joe, also has a bad attitude. I was left with the impression that John just didn't want to perform the work he was supposed to do. -

The plumbers put a new bathroom on the third floor of an old house, not an easy job, carrying parts up narrow staircases, and dealing with the kinds of surprises that old homes tend to offer. They did a fantastic job, all parts work, nothing leaks, all the materials are top quality at good prices, and it's very beautiful. Given that in Philadelphia all plumbers and all kinds of workmen have to wait for a city inspector before they can proceed, the guys got a superbly neat job done in almost no time at all. They are courteous, friendly, professional, and the owner is very amenable to requests for payment plans.
Highly recommended.
