Buyer Beware - John Grahovac completely abandoned the deck project he was contracted for, and commited breach of contract in doing so. Fortunately our agreement was written in a way that allowed ongoing payments as the work was completed with advances for materials, so at least I wasn't stiffed for the entire bid amount However, he left the job less than half done with unsafe/unsecured stairs, shoddy construction, and no explanation or further communication just after receiving a $2000 advance for the next round of materials. I've since had to secure another contractor to rebuild the deck (over 1.5 years later, giving him ample time to respond to multiple communications to resolve and/or finish the job). He also failed on a real estate make-ready referral (given during the project) by leaving that property also in an entire dissarray. Initially he appeared to be professional, commited, and organized - but then he brought in his wife to help as his assistant, who was not vetted in any way to assure an adequate skillset. I'm not even sure he's attempting to do construction anymore - in which case the public is indeed being served.
