We used Mike and his “team” to completely redo 2 of our bathrooms. What HE (not us) stated would take 20 days tops - 2 weeks and some days for each bathroom - was still not completed after 2 months.
He always had an excuse: he was in and out of the hospital supposedly; the guys he was using on our project screwed him over apparently. Always some sob story. My husband and I felt bad for Mike, and allowed him to keep making empty promises to us since he stated he had just “suffered a heart attack”. We are compassionate people, and really cut him a lot of slack due to his health problems.
We then went on vacation and gave him full access to our house for an entire week while we were away. He promised and talked up that when we returned, the ONE bathroom he had been working on for 2 months would be completed and the other one at least demoed. He texted once while we were gone “everything is going great!” And then didn’t answer any of my texts after that.
Surprise, surprise, when we got home, not even the ONE bathroom was completed. We were extremely upset and terminated the contract the next day.
Since we had more than valid grounds to terminate the contract (according to Mike’s own contract), Mike and us discussed the amount we would be given back, which (after going back and forth with him for an hour) was a significant amount of money. He SIGNED that he would be giving us a certified check by that Monday (which would be 2 days later). We said OK.
Monday came by and he called saying he didn’t have the money and begged to give him until Friday. Now it’s Friday, and he called saying we aren’t getting our money at all.
I will be completely ignoring all replies to this review from this company as the people who will be replying are also the ones leaving positive reviews - who all happen to be employees or friends of the company!
