    Propane supplier

So disappointed in this company. I called the last day of July17 looking to lock in a propane price for 2017. Was told it was too soon, call back in Sep. I called Sep1st, spoke to Steve and was quoted a price of 1.459 if I prepaid for the winter or 1.659 locked between 1Oct 17-30Apr18 for auto delivery and link to a credit card. I agreed and requested in writing (never came). I then got busy with work and volunteer travel with all the weather disasters and finally was home and called for my first delivery on 10Nov and was told I didn't sign a contract(which was never sent to me and I had a contract with them signed the prior year, still had their take with the latest fill being Jun17 with no issues) and my credit card was on file with them so why would I think I had to sign another contract?) and therefore had no locked in price, the price they said I was quoted was never an option and I would have to pay a variable rate all winter. I just wanted to cry. I was told Steve, who provided this verbal agreement and pricing and did not f/u as requested in writing) was a trainee at the time (seems to make this ok with them?). Where would a trainee have gotten those numbers if not from whomever was training him? I called other companies after this conversation and apparently missed the window to lock in any fixed rate, as that happens in Sep. Now I cried. I just don't understand how companies today don't feel the obligation take any accountability. I can now sadly look forward to a very long cold winter without propane.
