  Warning: don’t just walk away from doing business with this company- RUN! Which is exactly what Kurtis did once he pressured us into paying him in full with only a promise he would be done by the end of the day. We hired him mostly due to his excellent reviews, but what we experienced was the total opposite: no attention to detail, no pride in his work, rarely showing up when he said he would, and not finishing the work we paid him to do. During the preparation for the concrete I felt as if I was constantly needing to remind him of not only the size it needed to be (which he has engineered plans for) but also the extra 4’ I needed outside of the plans. I had to go out of town one day and returned to find the footings done- without the said extra 4’. Due to the lay of our land, there was no fix without starting over. Apparently I was too forgiving, but I decided starting over wasn’t worth it; I would make do without. I started to get concerned when I pointed this out and Kurtis just shrugged his shoulders. We had also hired Kurtis to do the ground prep and rock base for an all-weather round pen (which would serve as a place to put our building supplies while our barn was being built on the new slab). Something that would have made sense to do during the ground preperation for the concrete pad, but he chose to not even start on it until after the concrete was poured. By "start on it" I mean that he had some rock delivered and that is when he told me he would be done by the end of the day (which seemed like quite a large task for one guy who only spent a few hours a day working) and pressured me for payment (even though his contract clearly stated it was due upon COMPLETION). I felt uneasy about it but my husband was convinced there was no reason to not trust him, and we couldn't fathom that someone would care so little about thier reputation, so we gave him the check. Since receiving the check, Kurtis has not moved a single piece of rock. He came once, completely unannounced, to pick up his trailer and equipment and despite reaching out to him, he has not finished what he was paid to do. Meanwhile….. we have discovered that the concrete pad he built is grossly under size. Both my husband and I have reached out for him to fix it. NOTHING has been done. Clearly this man does not take pride in his work. I informed him we deserved a refund for the paid work not performed but none has been received. Unless you want someone with zero integrity, no pride in their work, with a terrible work ethic and who does not have a care in the world in regards to customer satisfaction, do NOT hire Green Concrete & Construction.
