    Install a deck

    Julio Diaz and Green Diaz Construction are unprofessional and unreliable. They did not obtain permits for the work completed. Did not communicate their plans effectively and deviated from those plans even when they did communicate. They cut corners and in particular failed to install joist hangers despite claiming they would and being required to do so. Julio Diaz was not honest or professional, and when asked about these issues refused to discuss them and stormed off.

    New driveway, steps and backyard patio

    Julio raised the price for my neighbor and me after he did the demo. He wouldn’t follow up on our minor repairs after he got paid and never answered our phone calls. The concrete is cracking in several places one month later. He is not trustworthy and I will never recommend him to anyone.

    power wask deck and patio, sand and stain pergola and deck

    I worked with Green Diaz Construction for 3 projects: 1) power wash patio, deck, driveway and sidewalks; 2) lay gravel in a side yard 3) sand and stain existing pergola and deck. Initially Julio Diaz was friendly and agreeable. He gave a reasonable estimate. I never received a work order or estimate in writing. When I asked for clarification on the project in a phone call, Julio Diaz became irate and sharp with me " listen to me, I know what I said. Let me do my job".
    I am giving this company a 2 star rating because of the rude and abrupt communication after the project began.
    His workmen were respectful arrived on time and worked all day. They were unsupervised and did not pay attention to detail. They left many areas unpainted on the deck because they were in a hurry to finish the job.
    After 1 coat of stain Julio said the job was finished. We agreed on 2 coats and he refused. His workers lied and said they applied 2 coats but I was here all day and didn't see it. He bullies his workers so they lied and said it was 2 coats.
    I do not think Julio is respectful toward women. He always raised his voice and talked over me.

    I would not recommend this company. If you do, get a written agreement (this is a lesson I learned)
