    $30,000

WARNING THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH GREEN LIGHT SOLAR.
A sales person out of Oklahoma City came by our house, promising the world, tax credit $1600 incentive, zero electricity bill. We were stupid enough to believe him, and signed a loan to finance panels. Under the terms there was a 3 day cancelation term which I confirmed in writing in the loan. He leaves and I read the loan document more thoroughly as he was very pushy trying speed things up, and realize there was no guarantee for a lower bill, no guarantee you will qualify for the tax credit. At this point I had to overnight two cancelation agreements to some sketchy addresses in Texas which just looked like empty office buildings when I looked them up.

There was absolutely no one to call for customer service, and there was no way to reach the sales representative he left no email. Thank goodness he had texted me a picture of the panel mock up so I actually had his number, this must have been a mistake on his part. I call and he answers and I tell him we are canceling the agreement. He claims I don't need todo anything he will cancel our service appointment for panels and the loan. I continue to press him as this is not what is stated in the terms of the loan and he begins YELLING at me and proceeds to hang up. I have not been able to reach him since. I tried to contacting green light and cannot get through they are literally impossible to contact.

Fast forward 1 week later, and I get an email from Good Leap, saying the loan paper work is a completed and a date 1.5 months from now when they will begin charging me for Solar panels. We had nothing even scheduled for service, told green light we were canceling within the cancelation period, overnighted the cancelation documents, and they were still getting ready to bill us!!!!! Thank god Good Leap had a customer service number which I called right away to cancel. I am hoping this is the end of this nightmare. If not I may have to take legal action.

Repeat do not do business with these grifters. They might claim to be Atlas Home Services or Greenlight it is very confusing. Also the sales man in Oklahoma City was hostile and horrible to us over the phone.

    To install solar panels
    $25,000

This company is the worst, i have been trying to reach them for weeks now, no one seem to return my calls or get their junk working, i have paid so much for this system, that my next step is top payments and sue their company for all they are worth, Morgan Morell, does not answer the emails or phone calls, the company sucks and i will not recommend it to any one, their Houston office seems to be permanently closed.

Response from Green Light Solar LLC December 7, 2021

    Rooftop solar installation
    $56,000

I am in the eighth month of my relationship with Green Light Solar. My system is installed, though the installation process was not smooth. The work was a was sloppy and not well thought out. Communication within the company and with myself, the customer, was very poor thus far. My system is not working because they have not been able to get the system inspected. They have not been able to pull an electrical permit in the city of New Orleans since June. I do not have confidence in this company and am worried that I may have bought a lemon. I can not recommend them.

    Solar Panel installation & maint
    $33,500

Well, things started off amazing, and have since gone down hill, I can not get anyone to contact me back at all leaving voice mails, texts etc with sales rep, and customer service. Once they get your cash, they pretty much move on to the next customer. The system is installed and working, but other aspects of the installation have been for naught. Was told I would get a tax credit to use as a rebate to keep my payments low, just found out 6 months after installation I am not eligible for said credit. ( Confirmed thru loan agency and Tax preparer ) So that's $8k that I am losing out on. Was told by salesman that if I needed to replace my roof at anytime in the next 10 years that they would remove the panels at no cost. Just had my roof replaced, and the Solar Company declined to pay for it, so had to pay out of pocket 3500 to have them removed and replaced after new roof was installed. Do not recommend this company at all.

Install solar panel via 1-800 Solar
    $120,000

I had installation of my $120,000 system four years ago. That went fine, but the
servicing has been terrible. I had multiple panel outages which went ignored in spite of repeated attempts to get them fixed. I even tried to use other outlets, which was not recommended by other service entities. Apparently, I have some animal damage as well, since no animal curtain was offered on installation. I paid to have my power box relocated given its inaccessibility in the attic. I have offered to pay my portion without response. I would never use this company again since all they care about is installation because that's where the money is. This industry is definitely not ready for prime time. Its expensive and does not save the money it was touted to save. Buyers beware, especially of this company. TShannon

    Install solar panels
    $45,000

They get their money pretty quick but took about 3 months to get the panels installed on the house then another 2 months to get the panels turned on. No good Customer service. Very hard to get in contact with anyone to get answers to questions we have regarding how this actually works. I personally feel like I was duped.

    Verified Hire

They were great at getting the project installed and our house as energy efficient as they could make it. Their short comings are the after project service. I am in the process of trying to figure out how to coordinate the solar energy with my electric provider and make sure we are getting discounts. This has been relatively hard to accomplish with no help from our installer. Not sure what to tell other than I like the fact I have solar, but am not confident that we are getting a discount on our electricity.
