James was very quick to come out to discuss the project, and very quick to bid.
He was consistently late in getting to everything, but finished phase 1. I talked about a couple of other things I wanted and he agreed to do them. I paid him for both phase 1 and phase 2. He never showed for phase 2 and didn't respond to any phone calls or emails until I threatened to report him. He then responded and refunded the phase 2 cost.In phase 1, I asked him if I should put down weedblock. He said I didn't need it. I now have weeds. Instead of taking 5 minutes to roll it out when the ground was bare, It is taking me hours to rake up tan bark, and place the weedblock around the plants. I should have known better,but I thought he was an expert and he would know.
He's a very nice guy, but he is completely untrustworthy.

I was so excited when I started working with James. He came to my home to view the property, gave me an estimate and came back a second time to meet my husband. We set up a 3-phase plan for the property as well as a weekly maintenance schedule for a date to be determined based on James' crew schedule.
James's crew arrived on time for phase 1 ("clean-up") and worked very hard to remove numerous trees from our property. Around 4:30 James arrived and there was still much work to be done. In hindsight I think he didn't realize just how big of a project it was.
At 6:00 the crew called it a day and we paid James the agreed upon price, which was very reasonable ($1500). At that time James said he would call to let me know if our maintenance day would be Tuesday or Wednesday as well as set a date for the start of phase 2. We never heard from him again. I called and left messages, no response.
We are now stuck with a backyard that has been partially cleared out. I say partially because after his crew left we realized that the far side of our backyard was not completely cleaned out. Very frustrating to say the least
