Green Planet Heatng & Cooling

With this heat waves my AC unit stop working all of the sudden. I contacted Green Planet Heating and Cooling expecting to be told that my 10yrs old unit would need to be replaced and few thousand dollars would be spent…
What a surprised, that was Not the case.
Amazing service, with in the second ring the business owner picked up my call, asked me a few simple questions and gave me an estimated time of arrival for someone to asses my unit.
Even more amazing they showed up a bit earlier than promised. But wait, it gets better.
They opened the unit and tested each component i think he called it condensers… In other words they assessed every component on this unit. Til finally the issue was discovered! Due to the over heat a conector built some rust and melted the wire conector. Replaced the wire and its running again!
Despite the fact that they did not leave the primeses till the house was cool enough…
No need to spend thousands of dollars… Very Honest people. Thank You very much guys.

I worked with Ruben to install my AC / Furnace/ Duct system in my house on Fall 2019. There were a few issues at the beginning starting from water flow noise in the pipe drain when the furnace was running and the AC not running due to wiring problem. I got frustrated since some issues had been on and off for a while. Ruben came and explained the CoViD 19 crisis that slowed him down but he tried to catch up fixing the issues. He worked from morning to 8 PM for 2 days in the row to try to solve the issue and finally we got all done. I appreciated Ruben and his crews support following up the issue to closure. They are a great team!!

My furnace was making a very bad noise and my friend gave me Ruben’s number. He came and explained the issue and how to resolve it. He had to reconfigure the system in the garage and make some type of customized metal transitions to my duct. It’s amazing how quiet our family room is now. I highly recommended Ruben and for sure I’ll use him again in the future.

Green Planet was recommended by my general contractor to install a new Bryant 3-ton 60,000 BTUS furnace and A/C system in my 1952 home in Redwood City. Ruben led the project for Green Planet. There were several critical specs for the system related to clearances for the ductwork to accommodate an electric garage door system that was being installed right after the furnace system. Ruben took great care to ensure the ductwork would not interfere with the garage door hardware. Ruben and his team did an excellent job -- the quality of workmanship and attention to detail were exceptional. Ruben took the time to listen to my concerns and requirements for the project before starting the project. I found Ruben and his team to be knowledgeable, personable, and professional. I would highly recommend Green Planet for heating and cooling solutions.

Ruben came on board towards the end of a year long remodel project, after I already had a unit and HVAC system installed in my 2800 sq ft Sunnyvale home. It was problematic from the start, and because I am a licensed foster home I couldn’t risk not having heat. Somehow- I found Ruben. He was very personable, and really listened to my concerns. Within a few days- He designed and installed a rediculously efficient system for the opposite side of my home, he was available after hours, responded promptly when I had questions, and even ensured my other (crappy) system was workable.
I can’t begin to describe how helpful and attentive he was during this process. Because the house was nearly complete, the only option was putting the fan on the back porch, near to where we entertain. It’s silent- and so much exactly what we needed.
He is quite busy, because he is so knowledgeable, attentive, dedicated and efficient. So I f you get a chance to sign on with his company- JUMP at the chance. I Highly recommend Ruben, and I already have plans to have his company replace the bohemian loud inefficient HVAC on the other end of the house within a few months. He’s that good.

Green Planet Heating & Cooling did a wonderful job on my new project in Palo Alto. Ruben helped me to choose the right system and guide me through out the entire project. I had a couple of proposals from different companies but they were over sizing the system. Ruben run a manual J, D and S to calculate the right tonnage and BtUs and duct size every single area.
Definitely a A plus on timing, service and pricing.

A friend of mine recommended me to hire Gren Planet Heating & Cooling to developed my 6,400 sq ft home to install a mitsubishi city multy system and a European Zehnder HRV in saratoga and one more system in Willow Glen area
Ruben and he's team were able to design,customized and installed all of my vents with sheet metal and beautiful linear vents avoiding soffits and saving space.
Im very happy with their work, the system is super quiet and it works just great.
I recommend Green Planet Heating & Cooling in fact they will be working on my next project as well.

Do not hire Ruben Terriquez for your job. Nice guy but just doesn's know how to run a business or manage the simplest of jobs. I was very patient with him and afforded him every benefit of doing my job and its been nothing but a horrible experience all around. He knows what he is talking about and can tell you all about the products and so on, but if he cant install it in a timely manner that its useless. Agree with above, he doesn't answer calls, return messages or bother to communicate with customer. Maybe he can do service calls on small simple jobs, but installing a whole house or larger project????/I wold say no with 100% certainty!!! I am currently seeking legal action since he doesn't bother to reply to me mid job.

Green Planet came to my door after several mechanical contractors that only took my money and time. Ruben was able to find the problem and not only that but made our system much quieter. Great guy and great service

Very bad business conduct. Installed our AC/Heating duct work back in 2014. Very hard to get in contact with, doesn't answer his phone or messages. Installed the AC unit last month, contract says 5 ton, he installed a 4 ton. It does not work, he says there is a leak? Now with the heating, installed thermostat and we don't have any heat either. Said he would return the following day, and never showed up? Not a man of his word! Left us with no heat over the Thanksgiving holiday where we had grandchildren here, and have tried to contact him and he hasn't responded to our calls and text messages. We still don't have ant heat! Ruben Terriquez is a very bad business man, deserves ZERO stars!
