We had an absolutely terrible experience with this company. First of all, the owner lied to us about his knowledge of state building codes, did not follow the contracts, and when confronted about his actions lied about his intentions. When he was caught installing devices that were against state standards, he stopped working altogether and did not refund our deposit for the work he did not complete, effectively stealing a substantial amount of money and leaving us in a position worse than when we began. The owner is a crook who should not be trusted with any type of construction job.
Examples of unprofessional behavior:
• Proposal to replace the existing copper water distribution piping with plumbing that is not approved by New York City Plumbing code.
• Actual demolition of the existing copper piping that was built in accordance with the NYC plumbing code.
• Proposal to install an undersized boiler and combined water heater with an inadequate capacity for house heating and domestic water supply.
• Proposal to install cables that are not approved by NYC Electrical Code.
• Complete negligence to implement the Contract obligations in accordance with the contract.
