Upon receiving a home inspection with roof damage that included photos from the attic and outdoors, we negotiated as part of our sales contract to have a licensed professional access and repair the leak and warranty their work. Joelle Nieves the realtor and home owner hired Christopher Tyson with Greenview Construction to do the work. After living in the house a few months the same area molded and rotted and we can see the leak was never fixed. Chris came out and said he was only hired to replace some tiles and replace the rotting facia in the corner. When asked if he assessed the leak to repair the problem, he said he wasn't hired to do that, he was just hired to replace the rotting piece of wood from the leak. Although Joelle Nieves is contributory in the attempt to cover up the problem and make us think the problem was resolved, I think a contractor that is going to take on work where he knows he is not fixing anything and that he took no interest in assessing the problem or proposing a resolution and simply put a mask on the problem and should know within months the board he replaced would rot since the problem wasn't fixed. A true professional wouldn't agree to mask a roof leak. I'm not a roofer, but this is where two roof lines meet in the corner and it's obvious there was a roof leak. Greenview construction said he didn't look at it, so it's not his problem. He admitted to replacing the wet rotted fascia only. He must have closed his eyes while working. I would hope that this would scare anyone from hiring Greenview Construction. They surely aren't there to help in a professional context, in this case it was to make a quick buck and walk away.
