We hired Greg at GSAPC to produce architectural drawings for a gut renovation of the top floor of our brownstone, handle all permitting issues, and sub out the construction. All of this was carried out while we were absent from Brooklyn. Greg was fantastic, however we were not as pleased with the Asian contractors that worked for him at that time. The scope of work was supposed to include a complete rewire and re-plumb, which did not happen and was only discovered after all walls, ceilings and tiles had been installed. It was a significant part of the job and cost and we did not receive a refund. Additionally, there was a lack of attention to detail and when I showed up towards the end of the project to do a punch list of concerns, communication with the contractor and his non English speaking staff was virtually impossible. Greg also had a Hispanic construction firm that he subbed out to that my cousin used and warned me against.I do recommend Greg, but you should shop around for a contractor, or at the least, plan to be present at all times to ensure that you get the outcome that you pay for and expect.
