Paint house, fix and stain the fence, and redo my bathroom

DONT USE HIM HE IS ONLY MONEY HUNGRY!!!
Greg is a person that pushes his ideas which would be more money. He would order things then had me pick up and pay for it. So instead of what the estimate was I ended up paying more. 1) He painted my house. I love the colors but he put in his estimate that there would be two coats of paint. If he put two coats I would not be able to see some old color in spots. He said they did thr two coats but I was here during all the work. And the guy that did the painting only went around the house once than he cleaned up and put the sprayer away. I would have found a painter to do it. 2) My fence he said some boards replaced before it was stained. Since he talked about some boards I thought he checked the whole fence. We found out about 6 months after he did not check it all. The post were all roting and fell over in a wind storm. And again only did one coat of stain. He tried to tell me he personally did the second coat. Well he could not get away on that one I was out side the whole time but he would insist he did. When it was done that day it looked great because it was wet but when it dried you could see where and how they did the stain. It did not look any different than before they did it. Greg said it was because of the sun. I would have found a fence guy which would have done it right. 3) My bathroom oh my bathroom. I told him exactly what I wanted and I should have told him we were done doing things but I did not. He gave me an estimate of $15,000 but when everything was done it was closer to $50,000. Again he ordered things I went picked it up and paid for it. With taken out a window and plumbing he did not get a single permit. I put tile on every wall from floor to ceiling. He had a young kid do it. The kid got high before work but I did not know that if I did I would not of had him do it. It looked great when he was done. After awhile the tile started to crack. Greg said it was my house settling my house is 18 years old. Greg wanted it inspected. Greg said for about three months he was looking for someone. I found someone I told Greg he was the one to pay for it. But oh no that would have made him to pay for something. So guess if he did it surprise surprise he would not pay it. So him and a friend replaced the tile. It was a big mess. After they first did my bathroom I had my new furniture delivered. So when they redid the tile you would think he would have put something up to keep the dust out of my room. Greg did put something up but it was thinner than a garbage bag. On my shower I got a frameless door he did not know how to put it in and never got a glass person to put it in. The glass was supposed to just barely touch the tile. Oh again something was done wrong. He put it in with about 3/4 of an inch above the tile. I told him it was wrong that they needed to lower it but instead of lowering the door he would argue that it was done right. I sent him a YouTube video on how to put it in. He did not redo it he only put a rubber strip to cover the space it helped for awhile. I had to get someone else to redo putting in the door. Now instead of gap on the bottom of the door I have an area at the top of the door with a gap it's an angle gap. At the bottom of the door it is right than as you go up that side the gap is about an inch from the wall. So when they did the tile it was not leveled.
I reported him to the CCB which was a waste of my time because he only paid me $5,000 that's all he would do. I did it the way some people suggested to do it because they said his insurance would pay for it. But no the mediator said that the insurance only pays for things that would hurt someone. He would not consider the fence since it fell down. I also did the report to the CCB because it was quicker than going to court. I was moving but now I wish I would have sued him instead.
STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!! HE WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT CARE ABOUT THE WORK
    DONE RIGHT
    IT WAS WORSE THAN TERRIBLE

    Bathroom remodels
    $22,000

Greg is a fantastic salesman. He pressured me into firing my initial contractor for week by constantly pointing out what they did wrong and convincing me their work was substandard. I finally fired them and hired him to work on 2 seperate bathrooms, with 2 separate contracts. He made it seem like he had done linear drains before, turns out ours would actually be his first one ever. He said he would be using Hydroblok, so I sent him links to the installation instructions for the Hydroblok single sloping drain kit, along with the floor joist lowering kit, each of which I asked him to purchase. He spent upwards of of $1000 on these items, even though I was quoted just over $500 by the company. He said they gave him a cash refund of $750, I never saw the $750 again, but as he recalls, he gave it back to me.

I never once micromanaged him or peered over his shoulder. He made it seem like he had seen the videos I had sent him, so I trusted he knew what he was doing. Upon reviewing his work, it became obvious he hadn't bothered to watch the videos and he had butchered my single slope linear drain kit as well. When I confronted him, he became defensive.

He also refused to have the plumber move the drain to the correct location, thus adding even more of a headache to my plate. He eventually walked off the job and left me hanging.

Not only that, but even though he had 2 seperate contracts, he had only started work on one of the bathrooms, despite accepting startup funds on the second one and never once touching it. So this jerk basically stole $5750 from me, in addition to destroying my bathroom. And the little work he did do was faulty too. Water ended up flooding everywhere and destroying my bathroom floor.

This guy is such a scam artist it makes me sick. The fact that he stole $5750 from a disabled parent makes him even that much more pathetic. He's a great salesman though. Thats for sure.

    Kitchen remodel

Greg’s Construction took rough design ideas and completely and beautifully renovated our 1978 kitchen. In addition to removing a wall and flooding the space with natural daylight, GCS helped to reconfigure the layout, improving workflow and accessibility. Very fair and completely transparent on costs, Greg and crew were conscientious and courteous. I highly recommend this company to any homeowner who wants peace of mind through a reno.

I spoke with them, they said they would look at the house & send a bid - I never heard from them again, nor did I receive a bid.
