I am happy I chose Grellis Construction to replace my roof. They were so kind and professional during a difficult time. The crew was on time and worked practically non-stop. My house looks so much better with a beautiful new roof that I could afford.

Run, don’t walk away from Grellis Construction/Gregory Stotts (google him). His sales pitch, a complete lie! My kitchen remodel was a complete nightmare.....He started working on my house without the proper permits and was shut down for over a month and a half. He can’t manage a project, he never visits the site unless he is picking up a payment. His so called company is merely him collecting a bunch subcontractors that he can’t seem to manage. Since he couldn’t manage a project this extended the project. One worker would install the backsplash then another would have to come back to repaint. Since they installed the backsplash and counters before the electrical was completed, I had to get my electrical outlets on the side of my cabinets, which is awkward. I asked about moving my a/c vents since the beginning (since my fridge would cover it, he waited until the very end and they had to cut my floor and the vent was in an awkward place (this was to avoid a mechanical permit). Then they had to repair the floor....This went on and on and on. There was no project manager, no interior decorator, all these people he promised along the way. I did it all, Greg eventually stopped answering my calls, before the project even ended, so I’m sure any repairs needed in the future will go unanswered. He’s rude and thinks he knows it all, he’s not even a good kitchen designer I ended up changing and designing My own layout. They ordered the wrong dishwasher twice, he brought the wrong pendant lights. I found out all of his references were family members....I could go on and on but you have been warned. Stay away!

By Brian C.August 4, 2019Interior renovation, roofing, ductless AC installation$31,000
I had a roof replaced on my house and my 400 sg ft shed, interior renovation and a ductless AC unit installed. I am pleased with the work of the project. Any discrepancies or missed items were communicated to Mr. Stotts and were corrected or finished immediately.

The service I received was the worst, it took 4 weeks to complete a job that should of took 2 to 4 days to complete. The fist set of workers came took off for hours after knocking down drywall. Came back later that day to clean-up and stated that they will be back in the morning. They were late the next morning, and I left them here with my husband, when I returned back 2 hours later they disappeared again. I called them and stated they work looking for wire to move the thermostat. They didn't return later in the afternoon, and I complained to Mr. Stotts that I didn't want the workers he hired to complete the job. He finally hired a new set of workers to complete the job. I would not recommend him to pick out a door mat for me or anyone one else. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
Response from Grellis Construction July 25, 2019Ms Johnson had a very complex project. She didn’t understand why we wanted to use a structural engineer to certify the removal of a load bearing beam. We did this to insure the safety of the beam removal. Removal was completed with ease and would’ve gone smoother without homeowner interference. Her husband recently praised us for the great job we did of replacing his roof. He referred us to his wife after we saved him over $10,000 on a roof install and we advised him how to get out of the bad roof contract he was previously in. Ms Johnson will receive a $250 credit on her next job, because it will be the 3rd project her family has done with the company.

On May 7, 2025, I entered into a contract with Grellis Construction in good faith. However, I did not anticipate the challenges I am facing today.
As per the signed agreement, I exercised my right to cancel within the stipulated 7-day period. The cancellation form indicated that the refund would be processed within 10 business days. To date, June 16, 2025, I have not received the refund.
During this period, I have received several phone calls and text messages from the company, each offering various excuses to delay the return of my deposited amount.
I am sharing this experience to inform others about the company's approach once a deposit is made. It appears that obtaining a refund may be a prolonged and challenging process.
I have also received an offer from the company, which I will consider discussing if the refund check continues to be delayed.
