we live on Marco island and The grille brothers did some recent work for us. (the beginning of DEC 2021). when my wife turned on the heater for the first time this winter (end of JAN 2022), black smoke started blowing all over our upstairs. nasty, foul smelling smoke. we later discovered that a worker had left a headlamp//flashlight//battery INSIDE our HVAC unit. so what happened was a fire - burning plastic and battery acid - inside our upstairs HVAC - and it blew black hazardous smoke all through our duct work and all over our house. thankfully our house didn't burn down and our smoke detector worked and our 5 kids got out of the house before inhaling too much of the smoke. the company, and mike the owner, would not take responsibility for what occurred even though the contract says full check on all systems and work guaranteed for 1 year. and we paid them $3000 for the work. now we have to go through our personal insurance and pay our $5000 deductible etc. to get all this fixed. all new ducts, SERVE PRO cleaning, etc etc. I hope they lose their license.
