When Scott came out for the original estimate, he came over to Chico from Oroville, on a Saturday. He was prompt, friendly and very informative. I live in a second story condominium and all the equipment is on the roof.
He really took the time to find out my comfort needs, then provided 3 affordable options for my review, very soon, after his visit. His prices were the best of the 10+ estimates I gathered, over the previous 2 weeks.
His work is outstanding, because he not only gets the job done exactly right, but goes above and beyond, to point out details that ultimately will make a cost savings difference down the road and provide for the longevity of the equipment. I have a heat pump split system, all electric.
The quality of his work is excellent. He upgraded equipment location to come in compliance with current code, at no additional cost. He kept a spotless work site during the 3 days of installation and disposed of my old units, line set and ducts.
He kept me completely informed throughout the job and provided me a series of before and after pictures for the record.
When the work was complete, he did not leave before, programming my thermostat for the entire week, according to my personal schedule, for both the heat and cold settings and providing all the accompanying manuals.

Scott Grimes is a true professional. He came to my house diagnosed my AC/heating problems. Thats right more then one problem. Scott not only saved me a lot of money, but also educated me in home AC/heating functionality. I would recommend Scott to any Home Owner or Contractor. He really put it into laymans terms. I gave him a five star rating in professionalism and customer service.

We have used Grimes Mechanical A/C service twice now and they will be the only A/C heater repair company We will ever use. I'm super pleased with their knowledge and customer service. They spent the time to show me what their doing and explain the issues in "layman's" terms. They're not tryin to sell you a new unit when all you need is a breaker re-set. I HIGHLY recommend them.
