Ground Hog Construction is unprofessional and unreasonable to work with. Construction started on September 8th, 2020 with a quoted lead-time of 60-90 days. We are approaching 5 months and work is still in progress. And, our permit expires on 02/10/2021. We are not remodeling the whole house. We are only adding a master bedroom and bathroom! Their delay has impacted my family's home life and my health conditions. I am pregnant and my child's due date is fast approaching. I am a high-risk pregnant woman. Breathing in all of the dust and debris is unhealthy for me. I have been unable to prepare my child's nursery because of the ongoing construction. And he could arrive any day! Due to the limited square footage of our house, we can only transition room by room. I need the addition completed so that I can prepare for the birth of my child. I am concerned with the continued rise of positive COVID 19 cases in our area. I am not at ease in my own home with the constant foot traffic of questionable workers in and out of my house. I fear exposure of COVID 19 to me and my family. We did not put up a Christmas tree because we have no additional space. And Christmas has always been a big celebration in our home. We have a foster child living with us and we do not yet know if Christmas 2020 was the last holiday for us to be together. We can't even have a normal sit down for our meals. Ground Hog Construction has become a big burden to me and my family. The owner has not once tried to reach out to me regarding the email that I sent him expressing how I feel about the whole process. I do not see that Bobby S. Sr. has any concern about the continual delays.

Ground Hog Construction recently completed a concrete sidewalk for me in my home. I'm sure it was a very small job for them - but it was EXTREMELY important to me, and they treated me as though I was one of their most valued customers.
My mom was being released from her nursing home quite unexpectedly. I had to try to get this piece of work done very, very quickly. I tried many different avenues and kept running into dead-ends. By the time I found Ground Hog Construction, I had only a few days left to get the concrete poured before she was expected to roll over it in her wheelchair!
The owner Bobby, always seemed cool and confident. He told me what I needed to do to get ready (I needed to deal with some tree roots) and assuming I could find someone to do that in time, he would make it happen and he did! This was Thursday morning. I had someone there Thursday afternoon to clean up the roots. He and his crew came out Friday to lay the forms and Saturday they poured the concrete. Amazing!!
Their price was MORE than fair and reasonable, and it never deviated from the original estimate. They were a pleasure to work with - they were professional, friendly, reliable. Their work was high-quality. I would absolutely use them again for ANYTHING they felt was in their wheel-house and I would unequivocally recommend them for the same. Thanks to Bobby and his team I am now ready to welcome my mother home. They took a HUGE stress off my shoulders when I needed it the most.
Thanks Ground Hog Construction!

Details matter and because Bobby at Ground Hog Construction Inc and his crew listened to all my concerns and acted on them in a timely manner I have a new concrete driveway that has surpassed my expectations.
Granted my expectations were not that high after completing a half a dozen interviews with other contractors.
It seems many of them were not particularly interested in discussing their State Contractor Licenses & Insurance Certificates (or lack thereof)
However, after receiving a rasonable bid on the job I consulted with the BBB who assured me tha Ground Hog Construction was a reputable buisness and receiped their highest (A+) rating.
I contacted Bobby at Ground Hog and asked for and received copies of their State License and Insurance Information.
I checked and confirmed the currency of the insurance policy.
At contract signing Bobby assured me my concerns regarding details of the project would be incorporated into the final product and any concerns would be addressed.
During the work on the driveway I did have a few concerns that were immediately addressed to my satisfaction.
The day after completion a minor issued came to light and Bobby had some guys at my house the next day who remedied the problem in short order.
I was impressed with the professionalism of this company and would recommend them for any job you are considering.
