    Kitchen Remodel

    Ben and his crew at Groundwork Properties are fantastic. We found him via Buildzoom to remodel the kitchen in our dated condo before putting it on the market. He was extremely in-tune with our goals for the project, and made recommendations based on our intention to sell. Ben is professional, kind, and a fantastic communicator. At several points in the project, he provided recommendations at several price points and helped us make the best decision to appeal to potential buyers.
    We will definitely contact Groundwork Properties for future renovation needs.

    Multi-Room Remodel project

    Ben from Groundwork Properties had great communication skills. He was very knowledgeable & always had straight forward answers to my questions. More importantly, his skills as an architect made it possible for me to create ample kitchen storage with clean modern design. Ben understood my aesthetic and the results were as I envisioned at a very reasonable cost. I was on a tight timeline, which was somewhat difficult to pull off. The rewards were in the satisfaction of the finished product!

    Bathroom Remodel project

    I recently hired Ben Tomlinson of Groundwork Properties to make some updates to my main bathroom. I needed to replace the floor due to a slow leak that had damaged the vinyl and the subfloor, and I also wanted to repaint the room and install a peg rail around the perimeter. Ben provided a very fair quote allowing for some uncertainty as to the extent of damage to the floor. He was informative and thorough, located exactly the kind of tile I was looking for, and made helpful, cost-appropriate suggestions for completing the job efficiently and attractively.

    As always seems to happen with house projects, the initial work revealed some additional jobs that needed doing. Ben offered good solutions to the new problems and finished the job to my complete satisfaction.

    I’m very happy with the quality of Ben’s work. I found him easy and enjoyable to work with, and I’m glad to recommend him.

    I had a wonderful experience working with Groundwork Properties and would recommend their services to anyone in need of a professional, detail-oriented, highly knowledgeable and capable contractor/build/remodel team.

    We ended up in the weeds on a remodel project and needed someone to come in and help complete some key tasks (shower stall buildout, tile work, waterproofing), and our plumber recommended Ben and the Groundwork team. Ben made time in the busy holiday season to get our project on his team’s schedule right away, and was professional and thorough throughout the process. When visiting our house to assess our project’s needs, he talked me through what work would be required, how long it would take, what our options were for materials (and the pros/cons of each), and went above and beyond and even pointed out some potential issues and made some recommendations for other parts of our remodel project that he could see at a glance.

    I was very impressed with his attention to detail and comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of remodel/construction issues. He also took the time to make sure he and his team member who would be doing our tilework and waterproofing were on the same page about the plan, and the quality of work ended up being top notch and they got it done right on schedule.

    Lastly, I was very impressed when we got the invoice for the project. The invoice was super detailed, listed every cost/hour line by line, had the receipt for parts used included, and left no doubt that we were paying the correct cost for goods/work and had no surprises. I’ve worked with several contractors, plumbers, electricians, etc. and this was by far the most professional and detailed invoice I’ve ever received.

    I couldn’t be happier with our experience with Groundwork Properties and the next time we have a remodel project, they will be the first team I call.
