Insurance Restoration Services (now First Onsite) hired this company to address storm damage that affected both the roof and chimney. The scope of work included repairing the chimney cap, patching the roof, flashing the chimney, and replacing damaged siding. Given that my roof was nearing the point of replacement, I trusted the service advisor’s recommendation of this company and decided to have the entire roof replaced. The pricing was competitive, and they completed the job on time. However, upon inspection, I noticed two issues. The chimney cap concrete repair was done incorrectly, and the garage roof had a missing diverter flashing (kickout flashing). I reached out to the roofer several times they finally fixed the chimney cap, but this process involved numerous phone calls, text messages, and emails. They never came back for the divert. I had to hire another roofer to fix that problem. Then in January while putting Christmas decorations away I noticed a musty smell in the attic. This was about 2 years after the roofer replaced the roof. The source of the smell was a water leak from the chimney. I called the roofer several times asking them to come out and look at the issue since work contract provided a 10 year warranty. The roof returned a few of my calls and told me they would come out and look at it. It never happened! I finally had to call in another roofing company to fix the leak. The leak occurred because this roofer reused the existing saddle flashing around the chimney and they did not seal the flashing correctly. The repair cost me over $1200 to replace the wood, shingles and chimney flashing. Except for the chimney and garage roof diverter, the aspect of the roofing job was done correctly. I will not use this roofer or recommend them, they don’t honor their warranty.
