Not sure what happened here but my experience has been totally different. I have hired Guided Elevator on three different occasions with three different houses and systems. I have never experienced any problems, and in fact, have only had very positive experiences.
My latest experience was when I called them, three.weeks ago, Josh, came out and fixed my dumbwaiter in about two hot seconds. Reasonably priced and very knowledgeable. I recommend them highly.
