This company is a big ripoff. They take 6-7 months to build a pool after telling you it will take 2-3 months. Then they try to raise the price and say they put extra stuff in the pool and do not provide good warranty service.

H&H Pools built my pool and enclosure back in 2001. John Huffam and his family were a pleasure to work with. Let me go through the experience and outcome. I was having my house built and H&H Pools was highly recommended to me from a fellow employee that had them put their pool in. I contacted John and we met. He gave me a price, which was substantially lower then the two other bids. He gave me a couple of suggestions like contacting my builder, and since the lot behind me was empty, to get permission to dump the dirt in that lot so he would not have to haul it away. He also suggested that I ask the builder to hold off landscaping the back yard until after the pool was finished so he would not have to worry of tearing it up. The builder agreed to both and John applied that savings to the price. H&H was here the day after I closed on the house and the pool (except the screen enclosure) was done a week ahead of schedule. The screen was delayed due to weather issues but was up within a month. John and Steph kept me up to date during the entire process. I was here for all the inspections. When I made a comment to one of the inspectors that his inspection did not take very long he just said when you don't find any discrepancies they usually don't. Fast forward 18 years, and this is where the quality of work and equipment really shows:
With John's suggestion I upgraded to Diamond Crete ( I think It was an additional $500.00 or $700.00) vs. the standard mar-site. Where my neighbors have had to have their pool relined once ( two have had their's done twice) I still have the original lining no chipping or flaking.
In 18 years I have not had one leak in the pool. The way John laid the pool design and pad area out, along with the location of the French Drains, I do not have ANY standing water even after the biggest Storm nor do I have any cracks.
The original pool equipment lasted about 15 years and when the pump went I just replaced everything including the pool heater only because I wanted to upgrade from a 250,000 BTU to a 400,00 BTU unit.
Bottom line is that for 18 years I have been very satisfied with the work John has done and if I move again I will use H&H Pools to put my pool in, no question about it.
