Removed a liner that was fully guaranteed, required cash payment as techs waited in the driveway, never followed through on promises of call backs and repeatedly lied about efforts to call back. Avoid this company

We had a loose and chipping brick situation over our entire chimney. We agreed on a price to wrap the chimney with wire mesh and cement stucco the chimney, and they are giving us a 10 year warranty. The workers were pleasant and the job was done within a day and a half and they made a nice effort to clean up after themselves. No complaints.

I had received a call for a 70$ cleaning for my oil flue, I obliged knowing it hasn't been done in 3 or 4 years. Once the technicians showed up on time during my 12-2 window, the manager, Alex did an inspecton top and bottom and took pictures as well showing the damage of my interior flUes, due to not having a cap. He recommend relining my chimney with stainless steel as well as some cement work and replacing all rusted out pipes from the furnace. Although i wasn't expecting to spend more than 70$, i'm very satisfied with his professionalism and work ethic. He did an amazing job and would definitely recommend H&R (and especially Alex) to anyone that needs chinney work, even just to get an inspection to make sure everything is up to par.

Scammers intent upon selling you new liners.

I was charged $100 and was to receive 2 flues cleaned. They never even took the ladder off the truck.

Instead, the "supervisor" used his cell phone to illuminate the clean-out, showed me some orange flakes, and declared that my liner tiles were collapsing. The dog-and-pony show was to sell me a $4k relining, but - if I signed TODAY - it would only be $2,100.

H&R called again a month later; wouldn't put me on with an actual supervisor, just playing relay. Worthless.

H&R cold-called a THIRD time today; the boiler-room guy claimed the woman I'd booked the cleaning with had been fired for improper practices. I was finally transferred to "Richie, the office manager" who wouldn't give his last name. HE claimed that same woman still worked there.Logically, it would seem at least one of them was lying.

Draw your own conclusions.

Got through telemarketer, "Special, we will be in your neighborhood", $70 for cleaning and inspection. Well $70 turned into $5700! Put pressure to get work done today, it needed to be done, I had no idea. Every part of job was extremely over priced, i.e. chimney caps, new flashing was only tar waterproofing, cement to seal etc. I did not see a builders license or Home Improvement contractor registration. He wanted cash, wouldn't charge taxes if you agreed. Don't sign anything until you inspect job

I have used H&R twice and both times have been impressed- something new has been added-- thanks to the new communication technology (IPHONE PICS), if your chimney needs repair-- they take a picture of the damage prior to doing the work. While I do trust them-- I should have asked for a picture after they completed the job-- maybe next time.

Work was done very professionally and the technicians were very friendly and explained things very thoroughly so it was easy for me to understand.
