    I can’t speak for others experience, but so far he has done a marvelous job. No job is perfect there were some hiccups at first as far as planning, but we shared our opinions and made it work. My home was involved in a fire, went with someone else and they ripped me off. John and his crew was hired to take over, and I have no complaints, he has even allowed me to pay in different type of percentages, which means he has put a lot of money up front, and that speaks volumes for me for GC to do that. Not saying everyone else story is not valid, but so far my experience has been great, straight forward and honest.

    Nightmare Crooked Contractor!!!

    One of the biggest crooks I've ever come across in my life, which says a lot since I've worked in real estate in Miami for the past 8 years. I had a contract with John from Habitat Group to complete the work for a permit I had already opened. It was a small job, most likely routine for a so called "experienced contractor". He promised 5 weeks. Eight months in, and I've experienced every nightmare possible. Several of his workers are not only unlicensed but don't have any idea about code. He never showed up for inspections. For any inspection that failed, he blamed me, and got me to pay for him to do the same job but only the correct way. I felt trapped. I was in a contract and I wanted so badly to finish the job that I kept on paying him to do the work necessary to complete the permit, and to find him inventing new ways to fail. I eventually found he wasn't showing up for the inspections and having them fail and charging me for each new one. If I told him to go away or stopped paying, he wouldn't release the lien on the contract. It was a nightmare. In finish, I offered him a payoff to release the lien, and had to hire another contractor to complete the job. The new contractor told me he had to rip out all he did and start new, but at least the new guy got the job done with a reasonable price and foremost, honestly. Please, save yourself the nightmare and don't work with this guy!!
