    Master bath remodeling

    Terrible terrible terrible service. Unprofessional, irresponsible. During our small project of master bathroom renovation, they caused major water leaks inside the house THREE times, twice by breaking the water pipes and once by forgetting to turn off the valve… Our laundry room and bathroom downstairs were soaked in water and the whole ceiling was ruined. After the third disaster the boss finally agreed to hire a licensed plumber to finish the job. And the only compensation he offered was to fix the roof they ruined, which would take days and cause great inconvenience to our life.

    Other parts were equally unpleasant. They also failed the city inspection THREE times. We didn’t even hear a word of sorry. Instead the boss blamed the city inspectors for “deliberately making things hard”, which didn’t make any sense and was obviously not the case. We had to wait days for a licensed electrician and a licensed plumber to come to fix their job and both work easily passed the inspection.

    Along the process they made countless mistakes, eg. blocked a water outlet, installed a shower drain the other way around, miscalculated almost EVERY rough in, which all required tons of time to fix. In the end, we had to supervise the workers (different almost every time) ourselves as much as our time allowed—the boss who was supposed to do this job was rarely there except for the first 2 days. And since it’s an all inclusive rate, he held grudges against us or tried to charge extra money for any tiny amount of work harder than he expected. Eg. choosing herringbone vinyl planks over plain patterned ones (for a flooring surface under 100 square feet).

    What’s more, they took away, without telling us, a $500 toilet in perfect condition that we explicitly told them we planned to reinstall. They refused to take responsibility and tried to pin it on us saying we placed it under the roof—plastic paper wrapped—in our backyard not inside the house… Who would place a used toilet inside the house?! After long arguing we only got $200 back...

    All in all, if you don’t want to risk water damage and lose tons of time as well as money, avoid it at all costs.
