This business gets less than one star. We had the unfortunate opportunity to utilize Renew Restoration recently for a sewage back-up in our downstairs area. They cleaned out the room adequately but left items in a small closet until I called about it the next day. Their handling of our furniture was not as it should have been. The industry standard is to discard items touched by sewage. When a homeowner has furniture they wish to keep it should be cleaned and dried immediately. Renew Restoration did nothing with our furniture other than move it to the garage. There is black mold on the underneath side of some of the furniture and it is not known if these items can be salvaged. When I brought this to their attention their comment was "that's why you have insurance, they can replace them for you." Not a stand-up group of people, in my opinion. Their charges are exorbitant and their business practices substandard. Use this business "at your own risk".

I would never recommend Halsell builders to anyone. I hired them to do a rebuild after a Pine tree uprooted and destroyed part of my house. The contractor Joe rarely if ever returned a phone call or email. They did a partial indoor demo and I repeatedly asked for an invoice as we had a limited amount of insurance money. He would never provide it. It took 3 months to get an invoice for minor work. On month 7 when we finally got the building permit, he walked off the job, handing me an invoice itemizing funds he had already been paid by the insurance company for of over $20,000. He billed out $95. An hour for laborers and himself @$125. The prices were exorbanent and he billed for rental of his work trucks, and workers got paid from the minute they left Santa Maria, not when they started working 45-50 minutes later. In my opinion this guy is a crook and he hides behind Christian logos on work trucks. DO NOT HIRE HIM
