Thom at Hammerhouse presented us preliminary pricing in late 2017, and was the lowest bidder. When we asked for a final bid in late 2018, his total bid went up more than 2X. No other contractor had nearly the magnitude of change, and left us feeling like his initial bid was a bait-and-switch.
