Hammerstrom built our house 3 years ago. Really bad contractor, as did not build a foundation higher than the surrounding yard. Had multiple water seepage in crawl space. Due to their roofing guy (unquilfied, and never saw anything resembling a real roofing company), did a terrible job on the asphalt roof. He only used 4 nails per shingle, which required 6-7 nails in a high wind area. They used cheap shingles that kept blowing off, I complained and was told to contact the asphalt shingle supplier. This went nowhere as the supplier denied any responsibility. So had to completed replace the roof at a personal cost of $40,000. Then also found out Hammerstrom claimed these were acre lots which found out they were actually 10 to20% less as were the same cases with our neighbors. May have to contact a lawyer. My recomendation is to never have this company build and outhouse for you!
