    The reviews on Hansson Builder (owned by thief Ha Hansson) are TRUE! The process begins fine...then work dates are missed, workmanship is noted as poor, you are asked more money, and then you are threatened with him walking off the job with no refund for HUGE waste of money and time. AVOID AT ALL COST!

    This contractor is a criminal. We contracted him to work on our house. the total scope of the project was$34k and he said it would only require 6-8 weeks. We paid him $13k up front... After two months, him and his crew probably just showed up to the site 7 times and didn't complete any of the projects. We fire him afterwards and ask for part of our money back. He refused, so we took him to court. He was ordered by the court to pay us however he still hasn't.....DO NOT WORK WITH them. If you don't believe me look at the complaints on the better business bureau.

    Worst contractor to hire

    Hired Hans for my first remodel project. This project was to only take 5-6weeks originally when the scope of work was quoted at $21000. I decided to only do half of the originally quoted for $12000. Half the work load, so we signed off on this.
    He was quick to collect his money, I paid him a deposit and he began work a few days later. He quoted me for a large bin to use in the demo project, he bough over a large bin that was already half full. I assumed I would get a discount here cause he was saving money by using a bin from another job sight. Demo went well, quick and painless. Then the real work had to begin and that's when problems started. He had agreed to be present when the cabinet maker would drop of the kitchen. NEVER TURNED UP, cabinet maker had to come to the site and bring in the cabinets himself, that was my first warning sign. The tiler he hired took 2weeks to do the kitchen floor which should of taken 3days. guy did a great job but he was telling me the reason it took so long was Hans would not pay him. I've already put a deposit for work so why am I getting delayed? Same story for the bathroom, tiler was not getting paid. I come to find out later the plumber was not paid. Hans was not paying his contractors yet he was taking my money.
    I started to lose faith in Hans so I cut down his work load. He then wanted to take me to court cause he said we had a contract, it was a signed bid sheet. He was not holding his end of his "contract" work was sub-quality, I had to chase him up and tell him to repair certain areas. He would not turn up to do work only to demand more money. Eventually he gave up as I would not pay him until he finished everything on the bid sheet I had already paid for 100%, he didn't want to complete this so he never returned. I lost a good chunk of my $8000 I gave him and had to rehire people to finish his work.
    Simply put this guy is a criminal in my books. He doesn't care about you or your project. He just wants your money and he'll say what you want to hear to get it then he'll run onto the next project. His contractors even told me this! Don't hire him or you'll pay dearly in time, cash and stress. He says his investor friendly...what a joke.

    We hired hans hanh Hanson builder to renovation our basement by 10/27/13,he said it only took 6-8weeks. He was very nice in the beginning and did a good job for the first phase , then he asked more money which out of the contract agreement when we lose the cautions, after we gave the money , everything went wrong. He first destroyed our original good 92% efficiency HVAC system and he refused to fix it to function , then our insulation was all icy behind the drywall because he didn't put fiberglass right during we were waiting him to fix the heat system , then we found the electrical even not in the code. We were asking him to fix those major problems, he either ignored or threaten quit, it ended up we had to pay extra $1200 for spray foam and he still refused to fix HVAC system and refused to come back to fix electrical problems. He won't follow the words which he said , he took our money as74% of total contract for more than 4 months but did everything in half way or just did bad jobs. He won't response our phone calls, emails and messages to ask him to come back to fixing problems, we can't tell him what was wrong and insulted by him for a while. This job has been delayed for almost 4 months and he won't feel sorry about what he done to us. He only wants to cover up his bad jobs or the truth he didn't do something he said he would do. He basically destroyed our electrical system in the basement and not willing to put back for months, his words means nothing to him, you need to write down every details in the contract if you are not afraid of getting screwed .we are very frustrated with him , we had no choice but complaining him to BBB and DLI, and we will do more if he still choose not to fix the jobs and run away with the money.do not pay him more if it is not following the agreements and be aware of his work . We were lucky to have time to find out the problems during his delaying before he can cover up and leave , you may find out the problems in recently after the job done for few years, if you have moldy basement I won't be surprised. I will love to tell you everything happened to us. Don't be fool by the appearance.

    Our experience with Hansson Builder from the initial meeting to the final kitchen renovation and flooring was absolutely positive. They understood my budget and stayed within in. Everyone was polite and respectful on the job. We are extremely pleased with the outcome.
