Happy House Improvement

Don't ever use these guys. I only gave them a $3,000 deposit because the owner Robert Brannen promised to immediately order the materials and commence the building permit process. After a month, and weekly promises, they did neither. When I demanded my money back they couldn't have made it any more difficult. Signing multiple forms, then original forms, then finally after 5 weeks I got my deposit back in the mail.

I also purchased an equinox retractable pergola system from Happy House Florida. Both my motors on my roof failed a week apart. When my first motor failed I Happy House $225 plus another $400 to their 3rd party electrician. Now the second motor is not working and Happy House is washing their hands and pointing me to Equinox to deal with them directly. Unbelievable! We spend well over $20K on their equinox system that hasn't worked correctly since it was first installed. I'm Unhappy with HAPPY HOUSE and the way they abandon me as their customer. Now have no choice but to get this fixed on my own. WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! BUYER BEWARE!

If review could be titled my title would be "INCOMPETENT" . From the estimator that was sent out (Sean Williams) that estimated the scope of job incorrectly. To the president (Robert Brennan) who then try to charge us to fix what they erroneously underestimated. Our main purpose for installing the patio roof was to protected our BBQ from rain. One main goal, they couldn't pull it off!! They demanded we pay the final payment with this issue NOT been corrected, or they would put a lien on our home. I should have heeded the warning of the reviews that were posted about this company.

I had the same situation as Hillary C. I am currently in conversations with my attorney. The roof leaked from day one. The drainage system did not work. The project took over 1 1/2 year. It is still going. They removed a gutter and never replaced it. The leaking happens exactly the same way as with Hillary's project. There other serious errors with the slope, angles, etc. I really like Robert but there were a lot of promises that were never kept. The project was very expensive, poorly executed, no project management, etc. The biggest mistake I made was to trust them. The payment breakdown leaves you with no leverage. One of their subcontractors did a fantastic job to fix previous subcontractors mistakes. However, for some unexplainable reason, they could never fix the leaks. I am hiring someone else to finalize all the pendin items and fix the leaks and install the missing gutter.
