    Thank you Steve and Carrie for the awesome studio addition to our home , my dad loves it !
    We finished on time and on budget, even during Covid.
    They were very easy to work with and made sure that we got what we wanted, even if we changed our mind in mid stream.
    Everything was finished as we wanted before they left.
    We would highly recommend Harkins Construction

    Beware, despite the few reviews they have I wouldn’t hire them again if they were the last contractor on the planet!! When I stated I was going to leave a bad review and not pay them the final balance Steve threatened to sue me. It’s been three years and I don’t care anymore. Ever since they did the addition I’ve had nothing but issues. Don’t believe what I say though, I have over a dozen pictures in a file to back up and prove why I wouldn’t hire these scam artists. First of all when I hired them a few years back to add a room, I stated I would like a 12X15 room, instead they gave me a 12x15 slab! When they started the job and broke into the existing wall they were sloppy and cut the pipe that went to the backyard hose which wound up flooding my daughters room. Steve never notified me that it had happened! That night I came home from work to a soggy carpet and wet baseboard. I had to fight with him to get him to replace the carpet and baseboard. Steve capped off the pvc pipe and refused to fix it which left me with no hose hookup for the backyard. In addition to that huge disaster his attention to detail was horrible! He joined two pieces of baseboard together by butting them up next to each other, not even cutting a 45 degree angle. The baseboard in the closet of the new room was glued on with caulk which wound up falling off. The openings for the electric outlets in the new room were cut to big so the jumbo wall plates I had to buy at Home Depot barely fit. When they cut the exterior wall besides breaking the pipe and flooding the room they never covered anything so we came home to a house full of dust which took us days to clean up. They also were suppose to open the guest bathroom up a bit and that was a shit show as well. Come to find out they never even got a permit for the bathroom and the toilet only has a 24” space which I know now doesn’t meet code. My wife was pregnant at the time and we needed this done by a certain time which Steve stated he could meet. My wife and I should’ve really read and examined the plans and contract better but we told them exactly what we wanted and trusted that they would do that. Steve and his wife took advantage of the fact that we had a lot going on at the time and our mistake was signing the contract trusting he was going to do exactly what we had discussed. Anyway I could go on and on but for 37k I could’ve got a lot more and defiantly better quality than the crap I received!!! Once again don’t take my word for it ask me for pictures and I will gladly share! As I look back I should’ve sued his ass for the sloppy work that still is causing me issues till this day!! Please do your research before hiring these clowns!!! He gets very aggressive when you bring stuff to his attention. If you want a quality job done these are NOT the people you want to hire!!

    We are more than pleased with the work that Steve and his crew did for us. We had a screened in porch that was converted into a Great Room. They were friendly and eager to please us with their expertise. We highly recommend Harkins Custom Construction for renovations of any kind.
