By Barbara C.December 10, 2020Plank flooring and wall removed on first floor
Harry Yorgey Builders just completed major renovations in my home. I had a the wall removed between my living room and dining room and new
plank flooring on the entire first floor. I had 3 estimates before hiring Harry. His price was
the most affordable. The work was completed today and there are no words to describe how happy
I am with the results. Harry and his crew (Jose and Favio ) are first class professionals. They worked all
day without interruption until the job was done. Harry even made a few renovation suggestions that I
didn’t think were possible. The results are truly amazing. I’ve had contractors in my home before but
none were as courteous, respectful, and professional as these men. I’m so happy with their work, I’ve
hired them again to install new kitchen counter tops. Thank you, Harry, for a five star job and to your
crew who gave 100% of themselves every day. Barbara Cardamone, Conshohocken PA

Not reliable. Doesn't meet his commitments. No class or honor. After getting a referral, I hired Harry Yorgey Builders to put in a new downstairs shower. My wife had just broken her hip and was unable to go up our stairs. Timing was the most important factor given my wife's condition. Harry said it was a simple addition to the existing downstairs bathroom since there was easy open access from all directions. He promised he would have it done in 5 days.
He started the job promptly but after 13 days and 3 straight days of no show/no call, the job was still not done. I called Harry to tell him it was obvious this job was not a priority for him, and I would get someone else to finish the job. He was very apologetic and asked for another chance. He promised it would be done in 2 days and I reluctantly agreed. The next day my wife was rushed back to the hospital. I called Harry that day to let him know and reiterated that we still needed the job done on schedule. My wife would have to use the shower when she came back home. Five days later the job was still not finished, and I fired Harry.

Hired him to fix what another contractor had messed up. Redo sheet rock, fix a window, finish a closet, fix the 2 doors, put insulation up and get everything ready for paint. Stated he had a couple of jobs going and couldn’t get to me for a couple of weeks but then like a week later called and said he could start. I was of course pleased he could get started earlier than expected. He said that he’d be over the next day and seemed kind of frantic asking if the check would be there. I said yeah I can leave it. He came to get the check for half of the cost of the project, some guy was around “working” for like an hour or two then left. A guy came a few times. Took down old sheet rock and put up basement board. Didn’t put the “supplied by me” required for code insulation behind the sheet rock. Then he sent some guys to mud the sheet rock without putting the insulation behind it. The guys that did the mudding and sanding didn’t put down any drop cloths nor did they tape off around the HVAC or the washer/dryer. Dust thick and everywhere, even walking through the house, oh and they smelled a little “funny”. He never came back to finish anything. When he pulled down the sheet rock he put it in one of those WM bags that he placed on my grass. Then he never had it removed. I had to pay to remove it.
I continually called him, left messages.
If he answered he would say, yeah I’ll get over there, then never showed up. He said he’d get the garbage out of my yard and never did. He also said that he would look at how much labor he actually used and calculate what kind of a refund he could give me, he said he doesn’t do business like that, and then he swore on his children that he would get the garbage out of my yard and he would give me some kind of refund. Guess he doesn’t think much of his children either. Total fraud.
