Since 1997, Hartert-Russell, LLC has specialized in custom cabinetry, millwork, and home building projects throughout the Nashville, Tennessee area. Founders Ian Hartert and Kevin Russell established the company after first working together on construction jobs during college and later gaining additional expertise in fine custom cabinetry. Operating out of a 12,000-square-foot wood shop in the heart of Music City, their team of in-house artisan carpenters, designers, and installers manages every aspect of construction, millwork, and finishing. Hartert-Russell handles custom cabinet building, home remodeling, and outdoor living spaces, serving both new construction and renovation clients. The company is known for adapting construction and installation schedules to client needs and maintains long-standing relationships with many throughout the greater Nashville community.

I've had two projects completed by them. The first one went extremely well with outstanding service and communication.
The second one was unfortunately a different story. After an initially promising start, I had poor communication from then on. Instead of phone calls, I got text messages and many times did not get replies to questions or phone calls. Once the piece was installed, there were serious problems, including them not remembering our discussions of a key component of the project. They even accused me of lying about going over it with them in the first place only to suddenly remember that we had in fact talked about it. Then they tried to upcharge me for their negligence. I refused and sourced the remainder of the project from another vendor. I do not plan to ever do business with them again.
The bottom line is that they make high quality cabinets but the customer service is not in line with the prices that they charge. For a premium price point I expect premium service and they unfortunately did not provide it, or even what I would consider basic courtesy. I cannot recommend this company and suggest going elsewhere for your project.
