    front porch, new steps

    They were hired to level a front porch and put in new steps with new handrails. The work started in mid-September, 2016, was finished in mid-October. Went well at first…when workers had a question, they asked me for my advice, which was great, so I was happy with the work they did on the porch up to that point. But there was a disagreement between one of the workers and a supervisor. No work was done for 2 days. The original 2 workers didn’t come back, and they were replaced by a new person, brought in to start the stairs and finish the porch. He never asked me how I wanted the steps to look. Steps were poorly done, the handrail on one side is 1 1/2" higher than the other side; I guess he didn’t know how to use a tape measure. The job was rushed the last day, after they were there 3 weeks. And the job is still not finished properly. I paid them in full, but shouldn't have. I texted the supervisor to do the right thing and at least finish the stairs properly, but he refused, saying I had already paid him and he assumed the job was fine. Now I have to pay someone else to fix the steps and a few other details. I would not recommend Harth & Sons to any homeowner or business who wants quality work done in a timely manner. When the Code Inspector looked at the steps today (May 4, 2017), he pointed out things that have to be corrected, which common sense already told me. Buyer beware of this company!

    Was a pleasant experience with our kitchen remodel after our kitchen have gotten flooded with busted dishwasher hose. They dealt with my insurance carrier and exceeded my expectation. Added custom tiles granite counter top and lighting.
