- Harvwood LLC is a verified BuildZoom Premium contractor.
We unfortunately hired this builder from buildzoom to build our dream home. He does not have a residential contractor license in Georgia. He misled my husband and I and coerced us to sign over our land claiming he could get the funding to build the home since he couldn’t qualify with our lender. The reason he couldn’t qualify is probably because he is not licensed in Georgia we didn’t know this at the time. He immediately started pressuring us for money. We agreed on a price for our home at the beginning which did not require us giving a deposit. However due to his continuous complaints about being over budget we gave him 50,0000 cash not knowing he never received the proper funding to complete the project. He told us he was getting 850,000 and only received 516,000. Which is why he was hounding us for money. We are just learning all of this as we had to hire an attorney. He made up excuses stating our home was larger than it actually was which is why he was needing money this was a lie. The size of our home was the exact size when he agreed on the contract. He also made changes to our floorplan without our permission to cut cost. The material used was not custom grade. He also does not use licensed electricians or plumbers. We are currently in a legal battle trying to get back what he has stolen from us. Please do not use this builder he is a fraud and I would hate for anyone to have to experience what we are going through right now. Buildzoom you need to remove him from your site.
