I hired this guy after he promised to do a better/higher quality job than the other places I had received bids from Rick Hastey (Hastey Custom Woodworking) asked for $10,000 up front. I hired him to build 2 bathroom vanities and cabinets for a very small kitchen. What he promised was high quality custom wood cabinets. 3 MONTHS after paying him the $10,000 and too many phone calls later to even count, he finally showed up. He then asked for $3,000 more to get started. What he installed are CHEAP, particle board cabinets and vanities. The cabinets ARE NOT custom. They ARE NOT wood. They are scratched, have random holes drilled into the doors, there are open holes on the bottom of the cabinets, and do not close properly. There are too many things wrong to even list here. Needless to say, I looked him up and found out that he has a revoked contractors license. Which means he has no legal right to be bidding jobs and taking money from people. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!
