I had the absolute displeasure of dealing with Heat and Cool Care through my First American Home Warranty insurance, and it was an all-around nightmare. From start to finish, the entire experience was a disaster. They constantly tried to take advantage of me with unnecessary fees, and any attempts to communicate with them were met with radio silence. When they did bother to respond, it was only to switch service times unexpectedly and without any explanation.
No respect for my time, no regard for customer service, and zero professionalism. If you’re considering using either of these companies, think twice—they’ve completely butchered what should have been a straightforward process. Save yourself the headache and go with someone else!

Don't know which of these companies are worse, AHS or this company. They sent a repairman since my AC did not send enough air to the rooms. He came, checked and told me that the coil is clogged and he needs to CUT it, take out the freon and charge me $65 per pound to replace it. I called crooked AHS and the told me they will send another company. Guess what, same guy came, saying the same thing, and told me that the freon will cost me $100 since it is the old freon. BTW, i needed 14 pounds which makes it $1400 to replace the freon. I sent him on his way. Called a company and they charged me $300 to CLEAN the coil. The AC is better than ever. DON"T THINK CALLING THIS COMPANY.

This company is extremely unprofessional. They shop an hour and half later to the appointment with no call to give estimate and than has a lazy attitude toward the client and than misdiagnosis the situation that they didn't even see and now my warranty company wont cover a diagnosis they never did, STAY FAR AWAY!!!

This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with! I called my home warranty company to fix my heater, which was only heating upstairs and not downstairs. They sent out this company to inspect the unit. After checking the unit in the attic, then walking around the house to check each vent, they told me they’d write up a quote and get back to me. They failed to mention that they turned off the unit and stole my pressure inducer switch valve. That night, when I tried to turn on my heater, it wouldn’t start. I was freezing and pregnant, which made it even worse.
I called the company and asked why the unit wasn’t turning on. They informed me it was a liability issue because the pressure switch was missing, and they had unplugged the unit. They refused to come back and turn it on. When I asked for instructions to turn it back on, they told me to simply plug it back in and turn on the gas. My extremely handy fiancé followed their instructions and went into the attic to inspect. He discovered that it wasn’t a liability issue to turn the unit back on, but without the pressure inducer switch, the unit would not function at all.
To make matters worse, Heat and Cool Care wanted to charge me $700 to replace the part they had stolen. And since the part was missing, it wasn’t covered under my home warranty. I called several other heating companies, and they confirmed that the pressure switch was missing and showed us where it had been removed. It was clear that this company had taken it. What’s even more suspicious is that no other company could find the part to repair the unit, but Heat and Cool Care claimed they could replace it for $700—likely the same part they had stolen.
Now, because of this shady company, I have to replace the entire unit. It's incredibly frustrating, especially as a pregnant woman left without heat in the middle of winter. Do not trust them under any circumstances!
