Barry Heckard was to build a door for us. He took a more than $7000 deposit and it has been over a year no door, doesn’t respond. Refuses to return our money. Do not use him he is a thief.

Terrible construction, shoddy workmanship and poor customer service. When contacted about the issues Heckard refused to replace and/or repair what was wrong. They wouldn't even return to complete the job. They were several months late on delivery and didn't even have the correct hardware. We ordered a superior alder wood and they used a lesser cheaper quality which is splitting and coming apart only a few months after installation. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND! Please look elsewhere. DO Not consider even getting an estimate. They take your money, do not deliver, do not show up, call back or seem to care they took your money. Worst contractor ever hired in over 40 years in any trade or the 10 states I have lived in.

Ordered a huge door and paid a deposit of $16,000. We were quoted a lead time of 8-10 weeks. We are on week 13 and the owner Barry is not able to tell us when/if we will get our door. Find another door company.

Actually the worst company I have dealt with my entire life. I know it sounds dramatic, but its the absolute truth. I placed my order 6 months ago with this company because they were competitive regarding pricing. 6 months later, I do not have my door and all I get are excuses and no call backs. Apparently they fired a guy by the name of Brandon, and my order had an issue with it from the manufacture. The manufacture emailed Brandon but Heckard's door are so disorganized they never knew until I called them. They apologized and I gave them a break b/c stuff happens. I supposedly got my door reordered, and here am I am after giving them 3 more months, and I still do not have my door.

My parents are in their 70's. When Heckard ordered a door that could not be used because he failed to obtain a permit, he accepted no responsibility. After 9 months of frustration, he refunded only $750 of their $1700 deposit.

If this would let me rate this company switch zero stars, I would in a heartbeat. This is the absolute worst company I have ever encountered. We were initially intrigued by the company’s ability to produce a custom made product and have it shipped to us for a reasonable price. I can ASSURE you that saving some money by choosing this company will only result in a major headache and no product. PLEASE just spend your money somewhere else.
We placed an order with Barry TEN MONTHS AGO and have yet to receive a door. At first we felt as if delays were COVID related, and were willing to be patient. It soon became evident that we may have been mislead, and our deeper Google search revealed many reviews where money was taken and no product was delivered. We continued to pursue communication in hopes this was not the truth and trying to give benefit of the doubt in a trying time. Barry’s communication is horrendous. He never answers the phone, and rarely responds to texts. When he does, he is either full of excuses or using the texts to express frustration with US that we are texting too much asking for updates. I’m sorry… WHAT?! We are FED up with this. Barry is either a complete fraud in the business of stealing money from families or the absolute worst businessman I’ve ever encountered. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. EMPTY PROMISES, FULL OF LIES, AND YOU WON’T RECEIVE ANYTHING. STAY AWAY!!!!
