Heckman Construction and Contracting

Paid 50,000 for shingle & rubber roof, notified him several times it was leaking. Needless to say it was never corrected
Had to contact another company to fix his mistakes.I would not recommend this company

I couldn't be happier with my roof replacement. From bid to build was just a few days. The work was done in short order and the clean up was immaculate. The entire crew was very professional and treated the workas if it was being done on their own home. The owner of Heckman Construction even stopped out several times to ensure that we were happy with the work and that it was going to be completed on schedule.

all i need to say is im pleased with quality of work done. the timely fashion in which work was completed with a fair price. his honesty in relaying what was to be done made me feel confident of his work ethic. I will absolutely recommend him anyone and everyone. they wont regret it. JAMES MARION

James and his crews are excellent! I had them put a roof on my house, James was incredibly knowledgeable about the products and very easy to talk to. Any questions I had he was able to answer and explain how the product works. They did my roof in no time at all! They treat your project as if it were their own.

James took the the time to see the water issues I was having around the roof and chimney. The guys did a great job and answered any questions I had as the work was being done. Happy with the completed work.

We had contacted several other contractors to get estimates for our remodel project - new roof, new windows, new heating system, electrical upgrade, and removal of old addition, and replacement. Two were no call / no shows. One kept rescheduling, and then forgot to show up. We then contacted Heckman Construction. James was very helpful over the phone, and scheduled a time to come out to the house He listened to what we wanted, helped us with any questions, and made us feel comfortable. Within a couple days, he had an estimate for us. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to change our plans with the remodel. After contacting James, he understood, and worked with us to come up with a new plan. We finalized everything and were given a start date. The crew arrived and within 6 hours or so, had the new roof on and the demolition done. The entire project was completed within 3 weeks. James was onsite regularly or readily available when needed. He made sure that everything was going well. He was willing to work through any concerns we may have had. His crew were very courteous and professional. They always made sure that we knew what was going on, checked to see if we were happy, and did this with minimal impact on us. They made us feel good about the project and the results. I would highly recommend Heckman Construction for your projects.

After calling 3-4 other contractors. And they could not get started on my home remodeling project for 3 months or longer! ( My project include baseboards, tile, trim, painting, plumbing, and some little electric work ) The last one I called was Heckman Construction. Which should have been my first. James the owner came to my home on time that was set up . I told him want my vision was for the project. He saw my vision and made it way better then I could ever hope for. James and his crew got it started under 2 weeks with fair prices. James and his crew treats your home like there own. They clean up everything ! James and his crew are very passionate in what they do and hard working. If I had a question regarding anything they had the answers. They now have all my up coming project at my house. I'm very happy with there craftmenship and they work!!!

I would highly recommend Heckman Construction & contracting. I had my kitchen totally redone and I couldn't be any happier with how beautiful it came out. The tile & cabinets came out amazing. Very respectful and professional. He will be my go to guy for any and all future projects!!

He put in a stamped and stained concrete patio 2 yrs ago - the sealant is chipping and cracking which leaves spots of discoloration and in one large section the concrete is scaling/spalling and it is not due to use - it is due to poor workmanship. we contacted weeks ago and said he would be contacting us - after several follow ups - he has not contacted us - I do not recommend this company

From the initial estimate to the completion of the project, James and his crew were professional and courteous at all times. I contacted him to reface my home's foundation. The job was explained in detail and was carried out to my complete satisfaction. At the end of each work day, the work area was clean and neat and I had no issues concerning safety throughout the property. I would highly recommend Heckman for his personal dedication to his business and his insistence on quality work at a fair price. The project was also completed in a timely manner and he also kept me abreast of any concerns or issues.

We hired Heckman Construction to remodel our bathroom and fix our leaking porch roof and we were very happy with his services. Unlike other contractors we met with he took the time to consult with us on the product selection to give us an accurate estimate for the job to be done.the crew showed up every day on time and the job was completed in a reasonable time frame. Heckman Construction did a very good job repairing a pipe that froze and broke under my house. My regular plumber was unavailable for a few days and I absolutely needed my water working again. Within a few hours the job was complete. A+++

It was hard finding any contractor that wanted to work out in the cold weather in February. I am glad I found Heckman construction. They showed up on time everyday and worked in the bitter cold and snow. They fixed my old falling down delapitated front porch in a professional and timely manner. It definitely is 100 times nicer and I am proud of the looks of my house again. Thanks James!

Nightmare. Beware and choose wisely.

We hired him to put in a retaining wall and redo the fence and landscape. In the end the fence began falling down,the wall began to move and bow and fall forward and he ruined the use of the yard. We took $15,000 out of our retirement ,had to pay $3000 tax on the $$. Paid him for work and got screwed!

I am still very distraught over this. We have a major loss of monies because of his work and were awarded only $6180.50 out of $11,700 we paid him because he claimed to the judge he bought $6000 in mainly in timber and materials for the wall. The jugde asked if we could reuse the timber. We priced it out at Home Depot and it was substantially less for a project this size. Bids to re do this were for $10,500 to repair this mess we were left with.We are stuck with this.

We filed a claim with his insurance co. who denied it due to shoddy workmanship. This has been a terrible experience for us.

We hired Heckman Construction after having problems with Elias Construction in Cranberry, outside of Hazleton. Mr. Heckman did a fantastic job of repairing and finishing our house foundation after we fired John Elias. He was professional and explained every aspect of what the job would entire and explained the reason for the cost of the project. We were extremely happy with his work and are keeping him in mind for future projects.

Heckman construction is a very reasonable and qualified contractor who I would highly recommend for any job. he is very friendly and respectful and very fair with his customers, also has improved our home above all the other contractors that does shoddy work. always check backgrounds and you will never be disappointed with Heckman construction

I hired Mr. Heckman to repair work that had been done by Cosgrove Construction. I was so distraught at the mess they had left me with, I didn't think ANYONE could fix it. Mr. Heckman and his crew came in, assessed the situation and in 3 short days I once again had a smile on my face. My bathrooms look beautiful! I can not begin to thank them enough for their meticulous, professional work! If you are looking for a contractor, I highly recommend Heckman Construction and Contracting. You would never regret it!
