I am writing to inform you about the horrible treatment I received from Hegarty Plumbing.
Hegarty Plumbing and Heating, Inc. was contracted by my insurance company to service systems in my house after an insured loss. An appointment was scheduled to which the owner was late. He came, spent five minutes in my basement and then said he’d draw up an estimate. I was surprised as I took hours off that afternoon because the service was to take place that day. My insurance adjuster was similarly surprised as they planned on the work being completed that day as well.
It has been weeks since Hegarty Plumbing was at my house and, despite phone calls to them, I didn’t hear back. I finally heard from them today (left them a message on 2/1) the owner said he wasn’t taking the job, didn’t apologize for wasting hours of my time or for keeping me waiting for weeks for them to come and do a job they were expected to complete the day he came to my house and raised his voice swearing.
He was not only not courteous as per above but then proceeded to yell at me saying he shouldn’t waste his time talking to me.
I advise everyone to steer clear of them if you value you professionalism, communication and follow-through.
