    remove and replace a flat metal roof.

    Early in 2022 we contracted with Hero Construction for a complete tear-off and replacement of our flat metal roof including the Florida room and carport. We contracted with Hero for insulation and a warranty, too. At the time of the sale, we were not given a copy of the contract because it needed to be signed off on by Hero. Drake said he would have a copy of the signed contract and warranty sent to us once it was signed off on. To this day we do not have a copy of our contract or warranty paperwork.
    We had material delays (probably ligit due to national supply chain issues from Covid) and permit delays and way too many contractors no call, no show days. Every call ended with a promise that someone would call me back, but it never happened. On November 11, 2022 Jeremy from Hero came out, asked questions about the leaks in the kitchen and the Florida room, went up on the roof and applied sealant. He did not seal the entire roof and we have new leaks in new places, just depends on the amount of rain and the wind. The last communication we have had with Hero was a call I placed to Garret Peterson 855 297 7283 on July 24, 2023 I spoke with Mr. Peterson who told me that Hero Construction was bankrupt, out of business, and that there would be no warranty. He said he wished he could send contractors out to seal the roof but that he didn't have the $500.00 it would cost him to send a contractor out to seal the roof. So we are are screwed again because we will have to pay someone else to seal the roof. I want a complete inspection of the work that Hero's contractors did. What corners were cut? What is the quality of the new roof? We are four women over 65 who live together to share expenses and are at risk of literal homelessness without a solid roof over our heads. There are reviews on the BBB for Hero that should be read. because there are a lot of people that got scammed by Hero and went through the same hamster wheel that we did. I would not give 1 star if 0 stars were aloud as a choice to rank.

    New front doors and new screen doors for outside
    $11,000

    We sadly contacted this company in November 2021 to get some new front doors and screened in doors our screened in areas outside. The Sales man (who no longer works there) did a great job convincing us we would get what we paid for. He said our doors will be in March 2022. We said we completely understand and gave him a down payment of $5k.

    March 2022 hits and we haven't heard from them so we gives them a call. No one has any idea what is going on and gives us the run around and keeps telling me someone will call me back. This does not happen so I keep calling day after day (multiple times a day) to get an answer. Finally I am told "sorry we have to push this back till May 2022". Okay - fine. We will wait until May.

    May 2022 rolls around and the same thing happened. Didn't hear anything. I called and called and called, got the run around again. Passed between people. Hung up on. People are leaving the company left and right, I am not speaking with the same people. Finally I got a personal number of a lady (who now no longer works there) she assured me now every one will have access to a spreadsheet with our order and she will give me weekly updates. Next update will be in June. So I wait 3 weeks. - I hear nothing... but I will be patient.

    So June 15th I call... no info, lady says: "we have no date, oh wait, looks like they are on back order". Okay now I want a refund. She gives me the VP's number. It is now the 16th I have called his cell phone 3 times. Sent a few texts and he said he will call me in the morning. its now 11am and I heard nothing. I just want a refund. I am now working with my CC company to get my money back.

    I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM FOR DOORS. I do not recommend using them at all. I have no idea why they have good ratings. I have been patient for 7 months and now I am angry and I will get my money back because I did not receive the service I was told I would get in the time frame I would get it. I was not told anything was on back order until yesterday. If that was the case, why not ask me if I want to pick new doors? Why not install the back doors, oh because they are all oddly on backorder... all 4 doors. I get the run around and I get ignored. I got scammed and now I will make sure I get my refund one way or another and I let others know to be very careful if they decide to use this unprofessional company.

    When the VP of the company ignores situations like this, which he is, I now know why the company is so dysfunctional, it comes from the top and trickles down.
