Our patio cover is great however we contracted the owner Marc to do an entire renovation of our front & back yard. He took on more than he could handle and did not give us a realistic timeline and had an inadequate amount of skilled workers to support the many projects that we had him complete. Oftentimes one of his workers would show up and he wouldn’t. There were often many excuses as to why he couldn’t show up which I get you have a family but you are running a business. He also would spend time on other jobs and I would see them on his Instagram page while I was sitting there frustrated. For the amount of money that we paid there should’ve been a more of an effort to complete our project in a timely manner. We paid him nearly 90% of the money up front (over 40K) and I still had to go to Lowe’s to pick up materials needed. If he picked up something he would bug me to reimburse him as soon as I could. Often times he was not tracking the financials and say that we owed money when we didn’t. I also believe he took advantage of the fact that my husband was overseas. He never brought us the in-fill for our turf so we had to get another company to finish the job. Before turf was laid I noticed water in the corners and he said the guys would urinate there because the gas station was too far. We chose because he is a veteran and we are too but he complained that we spoke to him like one of our soldiers but at this point we were thoroughly frustrated and just wanted him to be accountable, professional and timely. He constantly pulled on my heart strings bringing his son to the job site and using him as a scapegoat as to why he couldn’t show up. A very expensive lesson learned, never again!!
