The unsatisfactory details of our experience working with Dana Sherry of HCWW are far too many to list. This project took months longer than it should have and he did nothing to take responsibility rather he blamed covid and his lack of workers. Meanwhile Capstone and other builders in the area are building record numbers of homes. Mr Sherry will not commit to timelines, gets angry when pressed about completions and will stall and stall as long as he possibly can. Our 120 sq ft remodel took over a year to complete. He totally dropped the ball on a transom window we ordered which delayed it by months and months. He again would not take any ownership of his negligence. The window doesn't match the others so now we have to file a complaint with the ROC since Mr Sherry has ordered us to cease any contact with him via phone, email and text. We have also asked for the contract, signed work orders and paid cash receipts which he cannot seem to produce. We are in court over a dispute regarding the granite upgrade we did. The granite cost $4,600 more but he decided to double that cost as some sort of arbitrary mark up and provide absolutely zero explanation as to why. He simply said, "you signed and agreed to it". That is the kind of experience you should expect to have with Mr Sherry. We asked for referrals before starting the project but only 1 person replied with negative things to say about her experience as well. Can you imagine referring a client who is unhappy? I have a neighbor who is considering using him and experiencing massive delays. I would suggest using a larger builder with more than 1 employee for any project you are considering in Flagstaff.
